i see so many people complain about how coffee is too expensive and i'm like. do you not understand the massive scale of the coffee industry??? every single person involved in the making of your cup of coffee has to get paid. all of them. the person who owns the land needs to get paid, the people who tend to the coffee plants need to get paid, the people who ferment the coffee cherries need to get paid, the people who roast the coffee beans need to get paid, and the people who prepare the coffee need to get paid. coffee doesn't magically spawn for you to drink, it is a long and laborious process that most people are completely unaware of.
