Lesson 1:

The destruction of private property will send white people en masse into an epileptic fit. Their spiritual equanimity has as its pivot a mislaid belief in property = humanity, the erosion or accretion of either transitively applied to both. They looked at Baltimore, saw the emasculation of a CVS, and their latent empathy—for so many years in hibernation while an ever-falling cascade of racial injustice registered pleasantly as white noise—erupted in nuclear fission. The ruination of white property, of this precious dispenser of condoms and contact solution, the waste of ransacked goods no longer economically viable…this is a tragedy. The tragedy of the inanimate. This is what white people believe in. They’ve syringed their nerve endings into automobiles and retail outlets and are thoroughly convinced that they feel a pulse. And the group of people who have actually been collectively ransacked, pillaged, emasculated by a mass conspiracy of dehumanization (the only conspiracy that white libertarians reject outright), who actually possess a dignity to be bludgeoned in the first place…THEY are pulseless, and THEY are the engineers of what I perceive to be injustice because THEY hurt CVS. This is what white people believe, the default prioritization of value that they have internalized, and it’s absolutely FUCKED. Thank you.
