Blup update mini rant
I’m really not a fan of the new blup update tbh.
Like I don’t mind at all that 100 BLUP gives the best results GP gain wise, but the way blup is calculated now makes it so much more tedious to get 70 BLUP, and then you might as well fill the rest of the comps and go straight for 100.
I get why it’s come, don’t get me wrong, I just don’t like how they made blupping so much more tedious. Before you usually bred at 70 and only did 100 for grand prix horses, it’s been the “norm” for years now! (more or less, some server differences obv.) And this change disturbs the norm, and you know how hard it is to break old habits.
If they had just made the gain even bigger for 100 BLUP, and given 70 blup less gain then some people would probably start blupping to 100, but it wouldn’t be so hard on low level horses, because they wouldn’t be “forced” to spend so much time trying to get wins. For top teams, it’s no biggie getting wins, but for lower level players that breed alone, they’ve got no one to help them get those wins.
Sure you can skip the wins, age the horse to ten years and breed it, but that’s a lot of AP for very few blup points after the horse is bolded ^^
idk, I just feel like they could’ve done things differently. x)
