Rupert gazed out at the mostly empty bar, a couple of patron's passed out on some nearby tables as he ordered another beer and drank it. A voice in his head told him to stop, but he forced himself to drink more, just to keep it quiet. Hopefully...
"Charles is late," Henry signed, rolling his eyes. He had opted not to order anything, as he usually doesn't like getting drunk considering how much a lightweight he is.
"Yeah... where the heck is he? I thought he'd be here by now so I can finally get home and get some rest," Rupert muttered.
"You don't look like you've been getting much sleep honestly," Henry said, gazing at him worriedly.
"Why do you care?! Honestly, what's going on with me is my business and my business alone. I don't need you to worry about me, Stickmin!" Rupert shouted, slamming his drink down on the table. He winced internally at this, knowing he probably shouldn't have said any of that. But in all honesty, it wasn't something that could be helped.
Between his indifference towards Henry himself and his current situation, not to mention his lack of sleep lately, he began to wonder if he would ever feel "normal" again.
Still the two sat quietly at the bar, patiently waiting for Charles to come pick them up.
Little do they know... or do they?
