Penelope smiled a the girl sadly, it was noticeable that the girl was tired. Perhaps it was too much studying. Penny knew that teens these days put too much effort and energy into studying. She was glad that she wasn’t a member of todays youth, she couldn’t deal with the pressures that today’s school systems put on these poor souls.
“Uh…yeah.” Penelope shook her head. “I’m just being paranoid for no reason. I’m new and I guess everyone’s faces are blending together I suppose.” Penelope shook her head again, waving it off with her hand.
“You’re new? What brought you to town?” Allison asked, heading back into the coffee shop, and expecting the other to follow. It was part an attempt at being friendly, and partly to see if she’d come in during this new wave of strangeness. She smiled at the barista, and shrugged, making a joke about being so addicted to the latte, she had to have another one.
“I’m Allison by the way. Sorry, you’ve just caught me on a bad day, I guess.” She said, smiling awkwardly. “I’m not so grouchy normally.”
Gabriella held her lunch tray in her hands as her eyes scanned the cafeteria. Students sat in their cliques talking and eating while she stood near the front wondering where she should sit. The girl wasn’t feeling as talkative as she usually was and didn’t want to sit with more than two people. Luckily, she saw a girl sitting alone and decided to walk up to her. “Hey.” Oh. Gabriella hadn’t realized that the brunette was asleep until she’d gotten within arms length of the table. “Oh, sorry…I was gonna ask if I could sit but if you wanna nap I totally get it.”
Allison shook her head, moving some of her things to make room for the other girl. “Nono I wasn’t napping, I was just reading the paper, that’s all.” She murmured, waving the newspaper towards her as if to make a point. She took a sip of her energy drink as she looked up at the other. “Have you read about the animal attacks?”
Allison sat at the table with her lunch and an energy drink, a news article on the supposed animal attacks in front of her. Ever since she’d read them, she’d been even more on alert during the evenings. Leaning on her elbow as she read, she wasn’t sure of the exact moment that her eyes drifted closed, falling asleep. Hearing a loud noise she jolted awake suddenly, opening her eyes slowly. “Mm? What did you say?”
Looking down, Penny saw the coffee and she instantly felt bad. She too, would be devastated at the loss of coffee. “I’m…I’m so sorry.” She apologized again, closing her eyes, shaking her head. “I was paranoid that someone was following me and then I was an idiot and bumped into you, I’m sorry.” Penelope explained, finally looking at the girl. She was young, pretty, and had that look in her eye that sparked something inside of her. Something that Penny fought. Back in the day, this was definitely the kind of girl Penelope would go for the hunt over. But that was over eighty years ago, that wasn’t her now.
“Here, why don’t I buy you another coffee. It’s the least I can do after I caused you to drop yours.” She offered genuinely with a small smile.
“Hey, no, it’s okay, it’s just a coffee, these things happen.” Smiled Allison, awkwardly. Her lack of sleep didn’t have to be taken out on anyone else, after all. She rubbed her face, trying to will herself to wake up a little more, catching the offer of further caffeine which.... was definitely something tempting.
“Alright, well... I’ll definitely accept another coffee.” She said, smiling slightly. Thinking back on what the other had to say though, she frowned. “You said you thought someone was following you? Are you okay?”
Derek followed the open path through the town’s preserve, senses on high alert, carefully inspecting the surroundings that had once been so familiar. After the Alpha Pack, after Jennifer, after everything they’d gone through in the past year; a part of the wolf had hoped things in Beacon Hills would start to improve. Peace and tranquility wasn’t what the town was known for, but after everything they had lost, after all the people they had lost…at least some quiet would have been greatly appreciated.
It seemed however, even the minimum was too much to ask for, reports of disappearances and anomalies traveling through town only a few days after the lunar eclipse. It began slowly at first, most writing it off as runaways and private contractors, giving little thought to the changes in the area. When the bodies began to appear though, it was obvious ignorance wasn’t an option, Derek doubting any of it could be written off with any normal explanation.
Something was going on, and it was likely the cause was supernatural.
Derek stopped when he sensed someone nearby, muscles tensing as he focused on the scent, jaw clenching slightly when he recognized it. He made his way to the brunette’s position, inspecting the trees when he noted the ruffling of the leaves. “It’s an owl,” he informed Allison, not surprised by the hostility in her voice or the arrow pointed at his chest.
Narrowed eyes remained on the huntress, taking a few steps closer when she lowered her weapon. “Same as you, it seems.” His hands slid into the pockets of his leather jacket, a sigh escaping his nostrils. “Yeah.” He turned, but then a realization made him pause. “–Where’s your father?”
She let out a heavy huff as the source of the sound was revealed, feeling a little silly, but telling herself that with everything, it didn’t hurt to be overcautious. At least, that was the excuse she’d give if Derek chastised her for it. She wouldn’t put it past him at all. Still, she wasn’t wanting to aim arrows at his head anymore. That was definitely progress on their previous relationship.
“Yeah well... The woods a big place, so I’m sure there’s somewhere else you can be.” She muttered, not trusting the other. Not after the miles of history between the two. Her shoulders relaxed a little as he turned to leave, but then his question had her let out a heavy sigh again.
“Probably at home, I don’t know. You’d have to ask him.” She decided on in the end - she considered lying, saying that he was in another part of the woods, or he was in the car, but lying to a werewolf with the way she was feeling was pointless. “I’m more than capable of patrolling without him though, Derek. I’m the head of the family now. I’m sure you know how the Argents work.”
This was all new to her. This town, or should she say towns. It was all new. In all her five hundred years she’s been alive, she’s never seen this. Never heard of this. She had moved to Mystic Falls to get away, to hide, but now it seems like her hiding spot has become a beacon - pun not intended- for well…everything. Everywhere she looked she didn’t know who was who, and who was what anymore. It was all too strange, and she didn’t like it. She wanted a quiet life, away from trouble but it seems like that’s all she gets. She looked behind her for a moment and saw the same person she saw earlier. Her blue eyes narrowed in suspicion as she turned around the corner and waited until they passed.
Penelope let out a breath that she didn’t realize that she was holding in. She was being paranoid, too paranoid for her own good. Letting out a huff, she held her purse tighter to her person and walked back onto the busy sidewalks.
“Excuse me, I’m sorry.” She shook her head after bumping into someone. “I wasn’t looking where I was going, forgive me.”
Allison was exhausted, and after class, all she wanted was a coffee to try and get her through the next few hours of homework. She didn’t even feel like doing it, but she promised her dad that if they were going to be hunting, she’d still prioritise her education. Not that she was planning on going to college, but he didn’t need to know that yet. Wandering into the coffee shop, she ordered a tall latte to go, heading out of the store afterwards. And that’s when someone bumped into her. She lost her grip on the cup, it dropping to the floor and she inwardly groaned.
“Hey.... No it’s okay. I can just get my caffeine fix from home instead.” Allison said, shrugging a shoulder. These things happened. “Are you okay?”
Allison had been following the same pattern every night for the past few weeks, ever since people and places started disappearing, and other things appeared in their place. Most people in town had brushed it off, had awkwardly laughed about how they hadn’t noticed those things before, but Allison knew it had to be more than that.
She’d go to bed early, manage a few fitful hours of sleep, then slip out of her bedroom window, patrolling the woods until daybreak, when she’d head back for another hour or two sleep. She was dressed in black, her quiver on her back, bow in her hand. They shook during practice, but she told herself that if there was a threat, she’d be fine. She could focus. She was fine.
Suddenly she saw movement in the trees, and hearing a voice behind her she jumped, grabbing for an arrow. Before she could pull it taut in the bow though, she realised it was Derek, and she narrowed her eyes.
“What are you doing out here?” She hissed, putting the arrow back, and pulling out her night vision binoculars to survey the area . “I’ve got this covered. You can leave.”
[CRYSTAL REED, female, she/her] hey is that ALLISON ARGENT? Apparently they are 19, and they are a STUDENT originally from BEACON HILLS. I hear they can be CONFIDENT but also pretty STUBBORN. I also hear they are a HUMAN/HUNTER so maybe they are AWARE of what’s going on
History
Moved to Beacon Hills after moving around a lot, inexplicably because she had no idea what her family were involved in. Because of the moving around, it meant she had to repeat a year in a previous school.
Fell in love with a newly turned werewolf (oops), and her aunt showed up to tell her everything to make her hunt as well.
After Kate’s death and Gerard came to town, she trained under him and her father to become a hunter.
After her mother was bitten and killed herself to prevent her turning, Allison turned on Derek and his pack, wanting them to pay for what happened, manipulated by her grandfather to become the type of vengeful hunter he wanted aka Kate 2.0.
When Gerard disappeared, it left Allison alone with her father mourning her mother. She went to France for a few months to recuperate, coming back more confident about her role in the whole situation.
Though her and her dad agreed they’d no longer hunt, the craziness that is Beacon Hills drew her in, and she wanted to be able to help out. It resulted in her dad sacrificing himself, and Allison in turn sacrificing herself alongside Scott and Stiles to find their parents, and get them home safely.
Though her family code used to be “we hunt those who hunt us”, she modified this when she took up the mantel of the Argent family matriarch, to become “we protect those who cannot protect themselves”, allying herself with the McCall pack.
With all the strange goings on, she’s determined to get to the bottom of things, using whatever hunter resources she has at her disposal, sometimes patrolling the woods at night to keep the town safe.
Because of her sacrifice, she’s left with nightmares and hallucinations of her aunt, reminding her of how close she was to becoming her, and the potential that she still could. She’s kept it to herself, not wanting people to stop her from hunting, or to worry about her. She’s fine. Totally, completely fine. Who needs sleep, right?
Personality
Gave up all plans of going to college after Victoria died, accepting rather morbidly that after seeing what happened to Victoria and Kate, that hunters just didn’t live to old age. She plans on following her dad into the arms dealing business, and hunting for as long as she can. It’s not a viewpoint she’ll discuss with even her closest friends, not wanting them to worry about her.
Forever putting everyone ahead of herself, and showing weakness and emotions are no-go areas. Because of this she tries to be tough, to hide her emotions like her mother would expect of her, so often she keeps things bottled up until they explode.
Extremely stubborn. She likes doing things her own way.
Has trust issues with Derek and his former pack, given their history. While she hates seeing herself as a victim, she refuses to accept responsibility for Gerard’s actions.
* GLASSES CHINKING , people chattering , pots and pans clanking ; every tiny movement sounded like an earthquake in the sensitive ears of a new vampire . cami almost felt her own blood boiling as anger grew inside her usually calm and collected body , and the person sitting next to her at the bar was her tipping point . ❝ would you stop slurping so damn loud !? ❞ eyes widened at her sudden burst , but no apology was given ; she was too wrapped up in her own problems to give a damn about anybody else’s , and anybody that knew her , the human her , knew how out of character that was .

Allison had finished work, and was looking forward to having an evening to relax, since she didn’t work the following day. She headed to Rousseau’s to grab a drink, sipping it as she checked her phone. Hearing someone beside her snap at her, she stared at her, frowning. “I’m sipping, but it’s definitely not loudly.” She said, putting her drink down. “Tough day or something?”
Stiles didn’t quite remember just how long he had been going to this gym but what he did remember was that he had never used their pool before - and today was the day he was going to change that. He knew he looked like death on legs but that’s what school did to him. It wasn’t his fault that he functioned the best in the middle of the night and thus didn’t get enough sleep, so he was aware of the rings under his eyes. But hey, even though he didn’t quite look like a model - like some people here did, seriously how were they even real? - he was here to stay fit. He had already changed into his swim shorts, taken a shower, his stuff locked away, as he mindlessly opened the door to the pool and of course immediately bumped into a person. “Jesus, I’m so sorry!” Stiles started babbling, “You’d think I’d learn to pay attention to where I’m walking but no. Are you okay?” While he was rambling, he looked at the girl he had ran into and froze. It couldn’t be - ?
Allison stretched her back, tired, before clapping her hands at the class of kids who’d just finished their swim lesson. “You all did so great today!” She smiled, grabbing her towel. She’d had a few hours of lifeguarding, a couple of hours of classes, and she was finally done for the day. After finishing up speaking to a couple of parents, she began rushing back to the staff changing room, bumping into someone as she did. “No! Crap that was my fault, I’m so sor--” She began, pulling back to see who it was. Or who she thought it was. After the hospital, she’d found herself just getting on with life, hunting seeming less important. But the threat had still been there, hadn’t it? “.... You.” She said, trying to keep herself calm. Cursing herself. She should’ve checked on the situation sooner, she should’ve kept focused on keeping Stiles safe.

Canon History
The only child of Chris and Victoria Argent, a pair of hunters, she moved around a lot until the family finally settled in Beacon Hills in her teens. Through a series of events, she was taught the truth about what her family did for a living, and eventually became a fully-fledged hunter herself, wanting to do things differently to her family, turning her family motto from hunting, to protecting people.
This ended up in her own demise though, when fighting a group of oni working with the nogitsune that was possessing Stiles. She stopped Isaac from getting stabbed, and in a moment of distraction, was stabbed herself, dying in the arms of her first love, Scott. It’s at this point she comes to Eden.
Eden History
One of her strongest memories in Eden is waking up in the hospital, disorientated, and not really remembering the events that brought her there. There was a tenderness to her abdomen that was never explained to her, and was omitted from her medical records. She retains most of her memories up to a few days before her death, but believes they happened in Eden.
