Feeling lightheaded at the moment
Would this be a bad time to offer booze?
*Just stares* I’m just going to say straight out I assumed you were dead. And see if it works better this time.
Nah, you were right. I was dead. How I came back, I have no idea but I was pretty sure dying was for the long haul.
So it's. Kinda weird.
How have you been?
And on the new year, the silver officially told the world good morning.
I need a new job and a new wardrobe.
Where do I begin?

I missed you, my friend.
I'm feeling
As a whole, much better.
It has been a very, very weird couple of months.
The green fairy
Cloud sifted his fingers through silver hair he'd missed so terribly. He'd missed everything about Kadaj. Everything. "I love you so much," he said in return, voice cracking. He still wore the ring Kadaj had bought him. "I never thought I'd see your beautiful face again..
"I love you too," he said softly, closing his eyes and only just now being able to form what were more or less sentences. "I-I...I never thought...I-I..." He bit his lip, shaking his head. The rest of him was shaking too, and it was more noticeable now that he was sitting. "C-can I have some water?"
The blonde nodded, not thinking twice before adjusting their position and bending to lift Kadaj in his arms. "Of course you can come in," he said, and coughed slightly to regain his voice. "This is your house, too." He carried the silver inside, Sydney following at his heels and crying plaintively. Cloud Sat on the couch, setting Kadaj in his lap and holding him as close as possible. The kitten also jumped up, rubbing against any part of the smaller man that he could, purring like Fenrir.
The silver nodded and just kept crying, letting Cloud lift him. "I-I know..." he said softly, resting his head in the crook of Cloud's neck. He noticed the kitten when Cloud sat them down, shivering and cuddling the fluffball when he came to visit. "I missed both of you," he said softly, curling himself closer. "I-I love you."
Cloud only vaguely noticed the other man as he was leaving, and managed a nod in his direction. He was too concerned and focused on the man wrapped around him, the man He never thought he'd see again. It took a moment for his brain to send the correct signals to his arms for them to hold Kadaj tight, maybe too tight, but this felt so surreal. The idea that this was all just a cruel dream was still so strong that he was having a hard time believing anything else. "How?" he managed to choke out as his own tears fell, the only sign that this might not be a dream. He didn't cry in his dreams.
Kadaj cried hard in his arms. He honestly didn't know what to do or say. The silver felt a little more calmed by the presence of Cloud's arms around him. "I-I...dunno..." he cried between sobs, shrugging a little. "Can I, um, [sniffle] come in?" He bit his lip, squeezing Cloud a little tighter, "I'm so tired I just...I kn-know I should eat something."
A sharp rapping at the door caught Cloud's attention in the otherwise silent condo. Sydney lifted his head from where he'd been curled up next to Cloud's stomach, then faster than he'd seen the kitten move in a long time, the ball of black fur was at the door and mewling loudly. The kitten didn't have that reaction when Elena came to check on him, and nobody else bothered to visit; hadn't for many months now. Curiosity more than anything got Cloud to pull himself from the bed and make his way over. When he opened the door, he only had eyes for one of the two people standing there. It felt like his heart had stopped, his lungs ached for holding his breath, and tears welled in his eyes.
"I'm dreaming.. You only ever appear in my dreams," he whispered in a voice rough with emotion.
"If you need anything call me, okay?"
Kadaj nodded, about to say something when the door opened.
And here it was. The moment of truth. Kadaj practically froze, anxiously running a hand through his hair. He felt like he couldn't breathe, this was just. This was unreal.
"I...I-I..." He paused, trying once again before shaking his head and pulling him close and resting his head on Cloud's chest. The silver burst into tears, squeezing him and shaking his head.
Dirk decided it was probably time to walk away, giving Cloud a little wave before walking off.
Sunlight filtered through the large windows, highlighting the thin figure of the blonde man lying on the bed. Half packed boxes littered the condo in various places. Cloud had stopped when he’d pulled a box from the closet he’d forced himself not to think about, the box containing Kadaj’s violin and the lab coat he wore so often. His deceased lover’s scent was still all over the white fabric, and it had sent the blonde into a downward spiral. No matter how much time passed, no matter what he thought he could do to move on, the pain always reminded him what he’d lost; a friend, a lover, a soul mate.
His refuge had been the bed, where Cloud had curled up on his side. He left only long enough to feed Sydney and refresh his water, and to relieve his own bladder. He was going on four days like this, and he could feel the stubble on his cheeks but didn’t have the will to get up and fix his appearance. He’d just have to wait for the waves of pain to recede.
Dirk glanced around at the place Kadaj had taken them. He let the silver lead the way and stopped when he froze. The blond nodded to the condo, "This it?"
Kadaj nodded, "Yeah. That's his bike. I remember this place."
Dirk nodded, patting tiny Dante's head and looked back to the younger man, "Want me to walk you to the door?"
Kadaj considered it and then nodded. "I'm scared."
"The fuck are you scared of, man?"
"What if he found someone new? What if he tells me to go away?"
"Dude..." Dirk sighed, crouching down just a little--just to be at eye level, being almost a foot taller than him and all. "What would you do if your ex late fiancé came back from the dead? Would you tell him to fuck off if he told you that he didn't really have anyone else? And I mean honestly dude, would it even take that much? You know you'd take care of him for a bit, even with Cloud. He ain't gonna turn you away, no matter what. You know that."
Kadaj nodded and took a breath, reaching for Dirk's hand more or less on instinct. "Will you knock for me?" He asked quietly, teal eyes flickering up to shaded honey ones. "I don't think he'll hear if I do it."
"Of course, man," Dirk said. letting go of his hand and knocking raptly at the door.

((what if kadaj just wrote a calligraphied letter that just said 'daddy, i'm home' and stuck it on hojo's desk with some booze. ))
"Daj…" He paused a minute to lean forward a little bit, taking Kadaj’s hand for good measure. "Kadaj, it’s alright, man. You haven’t been here for months. Your patients can live without you for another little while." The blond stopped again, letting go of his hand and running his fingers through his hair.
"What you need to do, is head to the island and get back into the swing of being alive. I’m sure that shit ain’t easy. You gotta take care of yourself, man." He paused another moment, "I’ll take you there. We can catch up on everything. It’s gonna be okay. Everything’s gonna be fine."
It was hitting him that yeah, he had been gone for...months. Nothing really made any sense anymore.
How does someone get back into the swing of being alive? Maybe it was like the grieving process. Start low, end high.
He was scared. However, the prospect of going with someone that he trusted made the idea a little less frightening. Was Cloud even still at Costa? He doubted that Dirk kept conscious track of his whereabouts. And worse yet, what if he had found someone else? How fucking awkward would that be?
At the very least, both the blonds could help him get his shit together.
Kadaj stood up, nodding, "Alright. Yeah. Let's go."
"The cutest," he said, rubbing the baby’s tummy and setting the bottle on the table. "Good stuff, hm?" He said, leaning and kissing Dante’s head.
"Well, you did good calling me. I’ve got your back, man, you know that." He reached over and patted Kadaj’s hand, "First thing we need to do is get you to Costa. Cloud’s there, and I doubt he’s found anyone else to cuddle up with."
Kadaj nodded, leaning back in his chair a little. "Costa?"
He paused, "But...my life...everything. Everything is. It's. It's here. My things, and my violin. My patients? I have to--I have to go work."
The silver made no move to get up though, instead sinking down a little, "I don't know what to do though. I don't know where to begin. What do I do?"
Dirk smiled as he adjusted Dante in his little carrier, “Heh, this is my little-little man, Dante. He kinda came into my life the way Dave did, I figured it’d be cool if he tagged along. He likes new people.”
Dante looked intrigued. Dirk just smiled again, pulling a bottle out of seemingly nowhere and began feeding him. “So holy shit, how are you, man? How are you here right now? How are you feeling?”
"Aw. Yeah. He's cute." Kadaj smiled, sipping his coffee some more. He watched as Dirk fed him, and it was kind of totally adorable. He knew that there was some paternal-ness in there, though he'd never actually met Dave.
"I'm...I'm doing okay." He said softly, nodding and getting a little more used to actually talking. "I dunno, though. Just kinda...woke up? Like last time." He sighed, "I feel weird. I don't know. I didn't know...who to call."
