Growing up, I had a one-eyed mutt for a best friend, named Chico. We were absolutely inseparable. The South Texas version of peas and carrots, frijolés y arroz as the Abuelas say. He was such a good dog, we actually called him Bad. Take that @alanis. Anyways, I drew this portrait of him when I was around five or six, and that’s about the same amount of years we had left together. Every now and then I find myself lucidly dreaming throwing that soggy old tennis ball with him. Wouldn’t you know it, he makes me run after him still to get that ball back. When you’re working on brand campaigns, one thing you try and do is get every idea you can think of on paper. That way it’s out of your head and you can move on to the good stuff. I was tossing around spec ideas for a brand of pencils and who would ever know this thing was in there. What if anthropomorphized Jewish pencils had a bris? This, I guess.
