Breaking the fannon image of TY!!

1. Ty, despite preferring logic, is actually influenced a lot by his emotions. He’s not a robot and when he’s under a lot of stress his emotions tend to overwhelm him.

2. Ty can actually be very petty and competitive in a funny way. When dru accused him of hiding from their aunt he said ‘strategic retreat’ and he canonically gets into fights and pulls Dru’s hair when they play board games 😭

3. Ty is quite attached to those he cares about. I saw someone say once that Ty was a bit looser in his attachment to his family but I’d argue Ty is MORE attached. When people he care about are away from him he doesn’t verbally say it but he almost shuts down a bit

4. Ty does have an issue with black and white thinking and this can make him impulsive in some points. He mainly prefers to think things through but sometimes this black and white thinking can cause him to limit his perspective

Hi Cassie! Can we expect Ash to follow down the Morgenstern pipeline of refusing to call Dru by her nickname and referring to her mostly as Drusilla (and also calling other chars by their complete first names like Tiberius or Christopher I guess)? How would she react to this?

You know, he does call her Drusilla, but he calls Kit and Ty mostly Kit and Ty. He calls Kit Christopher once or twice but Kit is like, "Nobody calls me that," so then he doesn't. He isn't terribly dedicated to the concept, it's just the Queen mostly referred to Kit as Christopher.

I’ve wanted to say this for MONTHS and now I finally can: What if Ty thought Kit was in love with Livvy?

1. “Don’t worry,” Ty said quietly. “We’re going to get her back. I promise.”

2. “Kit,” he began haltingly. “I thought that you—I thought that it would be—”

Indulge me - what if after seeing Kit and Livvy kiss, he thought Kit wanted to be with her? It’s not so far fetched - Ty is a person of facts, and for someone who’s not as well versed in these kinds of interactions, a kiss is like an acknowledgment of that fact.

So what if all these quotes are Ty’s way of saying to Kit that he thought Kit wanted to bring Livvy back because he wanted her?

Maybe that’s why it was so hard for him to acknowledge his own feelings for Kit? Apart from the fact that he just lost his twin sister 😩

I love how Opal's chapter repeatedly states that Opal REALLY loves Adam. She's literally bursting with love for him. She loves him when he's sad, when he's thoughtful, when he's happy. She's afraid that he'll leave to study. She clings to him, knowing he'll never push her away. He invents games for her and shows her how things work. It was only from him that she accepted the gift, and later we see her with that watch. Opal is imbued with what her creator, Ronan, imbues in her. She loves Adam because Ronan loves him.

i’m not sure if it’s been said but i just REALLY hope we start twp with Ty knowing he fancies Kit. I think it will be so good to be reintroduced to Ty in this world and he’s already come to grips with the fact that he’s been crushing on Kit and he’s aware and accepting of that.

Which means we would get token Herondale behaviour from Kit, and HE’S the one pushing away and not understanding the intensity of his feelings…chefs kiss

i think basically what i’m saying is that i don’t want Ty’s attraction & feelings for Kit to be an unspoken thing between them. I think it would be so compelling to see unashamed and completely transparent Ty Blackthorn…
