“and that is a bad thing because…” Magnus smirked nudging his neck and pecking his skin. Magnus didn’t know how he had come to be so comfortable in the presenceo f another mortal being. He had promised himself long ago he wouldn’t. Mortals die and pain is felt. But truth be told, immortals also die and sometimes they never returned. So Magnus couldn’t come up with a excuse to keep protecting his heart. He allowed Alec to decide for them, respecting his decisions on what to do and what not to do and in which order. But Magnus was well aware that it wasn’t an easy path they were traveling, “he knows, and he doesn’t mind so another mark will only proof you have a lover that loves you.” He shrugged, resting his head against the rim to look into his eyes, “plus, it’s not like I want to plant you that thought in your mind, but if you don’t think Clary is also marked in one way or another, you’re wrong.”

The thought of Jace marking Clary had Alec wrinkling his nose in DISGUST. That wasn’t something he wanted to think about in any sense. He faked a shudder, RELAXING a little more against Magnus and giving a soft sigh. “I know they all know, and they’re happy I have someone who LOVES me. But you’re forgetting I have a job to do. And as much as I love being marked by you, I can’t help but BLUSH whenever someone brings it up.” Alec turned to look up at Magnus, smiling a little at the sight. He’d never expected to be able to feel so relaxed with someone, never expected to feel COMFORTABLE enough with his own sexuality to be like this, but Magnus had brought it out of him and he loved him for it. Alec reached for Magnus’s hand, playing with his fingers gently. “I like being here with YOU. You make me feel so... so relaxed, Magnus. So comfortable. It’s almost like NOTHING can go wrong when I’m with you.”

Alec couldn’t help but hide his disgust at the sight of Sebastian. No, JONATHAN. He wasn’t Sebastian, he never was. He’d taken the other’s identity and fooled them all, something Alec was still DISGUSTED by. He held his hands behind his back, allowing himself to look like the leader everyone EXPECTED. “Not yet,” Alec replied, his voice cold. “But it’ll most likely be execution. I can’t imagine they’d WASTE resources in keeping you locked up for the rest of your life.”

The question had Alec looking up, a small smile working its way onto his lips. “He’s... he’s okay,” he said in a quiet voice. “I think he’s still a little... I don’t know. Things are getting BETTER now. We decided to just disappear back to his loft and spend some time together, away from EVERYTHING.” It was true, they’d made up and it was PERFECT for Alec. He’d missed Magnus in the time they hadn’t been together but now? Now they were able to just be and he loved it. “I think we’re both just relieved it’s over.”

It kept playing over in his mind. Not that Alec remember when it actually happened, but the video he and Clary had watched together, where Alec saw himself do THAT to Clary’s mother. To JOCELYN. He felt nothing but guilt and no matter what anyone said, he still blamed himself. How could he not? It was his hand, his BODY that had killed her. And now Clary was without a mother. The person they had worked so hard to get back from Valentine. And now she was gone. “Clary, I... I’m SORRY.  I know nothing I say will ever change what happened, but please... PLEASE know how sorry I am.”

Being a Lightwood wasn’t exactly easy. There was a lot of PRESSURE, that was for sure, though it was something he had felt for his entire life. His parents only wanted the very best for him, that’s what he told himself anyway. But Alec BLOOMED and his parents couldn’t be prouder of their son. There may have been pressure, but he knew how to deal with it and Alec was good at what he did. Today? It was like any other day. He and Jace were together, best friends since CHILDHOOD. Alec handed him his coffee from the van, smiling a little as he took a sip of his own and sitting opposite him. “So... Anything MORE happen with you and Kaelie?”

Their relationship was one that Alec was still getting used to. It was like Magnus’s very presence COMFORTED the eldest Lightwood and that comfort? It was something he definitely didn’t have much experience with. But Magnus was more than willing to be PATIENT, to go at Alec’s pace. It had become the norm for him to spend his time at Magnus’s loft, staying overnight more often than not and being with him as much as possible. And today was like any other day; Magnus was doing his own thing, as was Alec. But Alec wanted to relax and made his way to the bathroom, where he knew Magnus was, and smiled at the sight of him relaxing in the bathtub. Without a word, he undressed, stepping forwards and climbing into the tub, nestling between Magnus’s legs and leaning back into the warm EMBRACE, sighing happily as he felt the arms wrapping around him. The lips against his neck brought a smile to his face, looking up at the warlock. “You know,” he said in a quiet voice, clearly content. “If you leave ANOTHER mark on me, Jace will probably say something AGAIN.”
