the stranger keeps her bow raised so tara keeps her gun raised. conflict was far from what she wanted and somewhere she was finding out it was the same for the other; if not, wouldn’t she of already shot her? thing is, finding the living in this world came with risk. there was lies, too many lies; no authority, so no rules either.

she’s silent as the other speaks. she speaks of a group but is she serious? it was a classic lie, to make it seem there was others for protection, maybe comfort in ones mind. all she knew was she was alone, vulnerable out here & but lying gets one so far.

            ‘same as you. we’ve grown less & less, but              covering ground is important so here i am.’

   a shrug to her shoulders —-

     she's hesitant. there's every possibility that the moment her guard      is dropped, the other woman will shoot her in the head and move on.      if she had to guess, she'd say that's not her intention -- she likes to      think she has that sense about people, about potential threats -- but      then again, she didn't see through gerard, did she? so what does she      know?

     still, there is the fact that she thinks she'd still have the advantage.      they're both alone -- allison's group exists only in her lie, and she      suspects the woman's is the same. allison's fast; she's trained; the      stranger doesn't know that she has her set of chinese ring daggers      sheathed at her thighs, underneath her skirt. so, after a pause, she      shifts to hold her crossbow in one hand and lowers both arms to her      side. her muscles are tense; if she even thinks she sees the woman's      finger move towards the trigger, she can probably dodge sideways,      drop the bow and grab the daggers, and attack.

     would that it shouldn't come to that.
