santal - a skin blend for TS3

I blended Ephemera’s Fresh skin on top of Buffy's V4 skin to give it some more detail and realism.

This is extremely similar to my Gardenia skin, except the details and shading around the eyes and nose are slightly different. I guess it looks more matte and muted, less glowy overall? It would be redundant to have this one and Gardenia both installed, you'll barely be able to tell the difference.

Maybe you'll like it idk I'm just uploading this for @sim-songs tbh. 💗

Buffy's V4 skin was the first default skin I used hardcore when I first started playing TS3 on pc years ago. I really just wanted to make this blend for old times' sake. You can still get the original here if you want a more maxis match look.

gardenia skin update - june 18 2023

I've added better baby, child and toddler stage skins to my Gardenia skin blend! It bothered me that the younger textures didn't match the older textures so finally I sat down this weekend and blended the remaining ones. Yes I know today's not the 18th I'm writing this post late sorry.

The download links on the original post have been updated.

The packages are still the same. You can just replace the old packages with these updated ones, and your sims skins should be updated when you go in game again. You can delete your caches as well just to be safe.

Mini Goth family ramble below:

I was trying to take a nice family picture of the Goths aged down (when Bella would have been a younger adult) to make this update post look all cute, but Cassandra had this permanent don't-want-to-be-here expression on her face the whole time which kind of ruins the happy family vibe I was going for, but also seems very fitting for the family dysfunction I imagine them having. So here we have this kinda sad looking family portrait (younger Bella is in the middle of gently coaxing Cassandra to smile, Alexander is too young to know what's going on, and Mortimer is absent) and I'm too tired to retake it so I'm just gonna use it. I always envisioned Cassandra as the sibling who would have been exposed to Mortimer and Bella's marriage problems the most from a young age which would have caused her to act out and eventually grow into her rebellious teen and young adult phases. And refusing to smile for a perfect-happy-family-photo seems very much like something young Cassandra would have done, to rebel against the sheer hypocrisy of it all, so I feel like this picture really says so much about her and her family lore... anyways.

Elvira Hancock Backless High Slit Dress

Finally, something for the dolls!

This is a dress inspired by Elvira Hancock from the movie Scarface (1983), played by Michelle Pfeiffer.

Her look is simply iconic and I always wished to recreate the character in my game. I couldn’t make an exact replica of her dress, but I think this is pretty close.

I couldn’t decide which silk texture I liked better, so I made 2 versions. Both are fully recolourable.

Credits:

The mesh is the Brea Dress V1 by @quizicalgin which is truly a work of art.

The textures are an amalgamation of Quizicalgin’s textures, 2 different Rustynail dresses, and Opsim’s green silk dress. All I did was frankenstein everything together.

Beard Pack 05

A set of beards dedicated to the silver fox himself, Mortimer Goth. His signature look has always been a well-kept moustache so this was the theme.

Beard 05_06 in this pack is just a cleaner version of Beard 04_03 in my previous beard pack so you can delete the older one if you want.

The main difference in 05_05 to 05_08 is really just the shape and thickness of the moustache.

A fictional man’s moustache is something that can actually be so personal, you see.

My Eyes Are Up Here

POV: it’s a beautiful spring evening in Sunset Valley, and you decide to take a stroll down the street to borrow a cup of sugar from the neighbours…

These clothes are kinda boring so I thought I’d do something stupid fun for the preview pics.

What I made:

1. An edit of the Outdoor Living stuff pack v-neck sweater. I removed the pesky undershirt. Base game compatible, standalone item. There is a 2nd preset featuring more, um, shading on the assets.

2. An edit of JS Sims retexture of the Late Night EP shirt. I liked the texture she added but she also added an undershirt which I have now removed. I prefer this shirt with the titties out. If you’re going to unbutton your shirt down to your stomach, you might as well commit to the look. I also smoothed and fixed some small issues with the texture, and slimmed the mesh a bit. 2 versions of the texture because I couldn’t decide: one matte and one a bit shinier. The texture quality is honestly meh but that’s not what you should be focusing on.

gardenia - a skin blend for TS3

I blended Ephemera’s Fresh skin on top of Noodlesims’ Apple Cider Vinegar V2 skin to give it some more detail and realism. This skin has softly defined facial features and a radiant, all-over glow.

At first it was just supposed to be a personal blend. I made a comparison post here back in January that I didn’t expect to get so many notes. I am finally getting around to uploading it.

I didn’t edit the base textures of the baby, toddler, and child stages but I think they still look cohesive enough with the edited teen, adult, and elder stages.

It has 11 presets, and they all change the collar of the coat, as seen on the preview gif! They are all overlay textures, so they’re not recolorable. However, on the last preset you can recolor it, but it’ll not be as colorful as the other presets!

I was working on the Interests & Hobbies mod, where I had a script that fixed townies and their skills. Like, for example, it would fix townies that had the green thumb trait to give it a point or 3 in gardening. Upon talking a bit more with others about it, I decided to scrap that from the Interest & Hobbies mod and create a separate mod out of it… which, well, got a bit more involved than just skills Welcome to my world!

What’s the RPG Manager? Ever created a whole new family through CAS, having a whole backstory for them and finding yourself having to go through NRAAS’ endless menus to fix endless of things for your family? Or they’re supposed to be a rich family, but you find yourself having to motherlode your way there (or purchase a lot of objects to make your sims poorer) This will fix that! The RPG Manager comes with a concept of what I’ve called “Managers”. In reality they’re just Mini-managers, but they’re still managers doing their hardest to give the best options to your sims

4t3 Werewolves JacketHeavySweater for Female Sims

Added the fem frame version of this outfit from Werewolves, again converted for elders too. This uses most of the same textures as the masc conversion, so I linked the textures and merged the files together to save space. So it’s all in the same file, I updated the original download links above. If you already have the masc version, just download again and allow it to overwrite the original file.

Is funny how I don't use EA's outfits and clothes in Sims 4 but when I'm converting their stuff to Sims 3, I love them.

A 4t3 conversion from a big and needed set for all the 1940s/1950s players! No specific reason to release this, I just really wanted this haha (and @deniisu-sims​ too)! Hope you like it! Enjoy! <3

Known Problems:

The necklaces unfortunately don’t have medium and low LODs because I wasn’t able to import them over to TSRW! It would always reply with an error and then crash, no matter how much I reduced the polycount! So, I’m so sorry for those who need to play on medium and low settings!

The necklaces will clip with the clothes in max morphs! Sorry!

The “Charlotte Dress” (yellow dress) has a bit of a UV problem at the armpits because of some manipulation I had to do to make the stripes in there! It’s a matter of pixels tho, really small!

In the “Go Lightly Dress” (full black dress), the half-moon cut around the neck clips with the body in extreme animations! It’s in a very unusual spot, so I tried to minimize it as much as I could, and I did my best! Sorry! 

The “Pamela Dress” (black and red dress) has some serious lighting glitches on CAS in both arms, because of some editing I had to do! But again, they’re fine in-game! Just wanted to let you know!

* Note that teens and elders have unsolvable neck gaps. This is sadly the price for having them available!

Everything is totally recolorable, with some minor overlays! I was just not able to put the masks on display because it would just be way too many photos and everything would be polluted! But know they’re there! You’ll have to check them out by yourself!

The “Go Lightly Dress” (full black dress), “Grace Dress” (blue dress), “Joan Dress” (green dress), “Bow Jacket” (top) and “Daphne Pants” have two separate presets with their own recolorization, so you can have more options! 

All necklaces have morphs, so you can make the perfect look in all kinds of sims! Tested them in all of this set’s items, so I’m not responsible if they may explode with really high poly outfits!

The “Guruau Jacket” (red jacket) and the “Mock Neck Dress” (patterned white and black dress) have the silver belts as overlay textures!

TS3 HD Textures Series - Terrain pack

(Quick note, currently patreon is still catching up on the files, so I’d wait at least an hour after this post has gone life for all the files to be there, in case you’d prefer downloading it through Patreon)

You read that right, HD Terrain textures! Now, TS3 is still looking pretty good for it’s release time! However, the more time goes on, the more I play it, the more I find myself finding the grass textures and such become a bit more pixelated than we’re used in other games these days. So, after going off on a quick Skyrim playthrough, as well as seeing some other Bethesda (and GTA) games having mods that enhance the textures, I figured “How hard would it be to do this?” And that’s what I did that weekend :p

Curtain Call Collection 🎭

I felt like the curtain selection in Sims 3 was lacking, so I decided to convert a whole bunch of them. The curtains are from the following packs (in order of the preview pictures): The Sims 4: Seasons, The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle, The Sims 4: City Living, The Sims 4: Cottage Living, The Sims 4: Snowy Escape, and The Sims 4: My First Pet Stuff. 

The Eco Lifestyle curtains also include a three tile version, but I couldn’t fit it into the picture. I made an additional size of both the City Living and Cottage Living curtains so they fit one tile windows better. All of the curtains from Cottage Living, Snowy Escape, and My First Pet Stuff are shiftable, but they require the moveobjects on cheat to place down. I also included wall decoration versions of the three curtains from Snowy Escape.
