SLGT is on a break. Not sure when it will be back at the moment, but I'm a little burned out by it and keep forgetting about it rn!

NOTE: If you're wondering what the 'No Freezerbnuuy' rule is on these posts, it's because I run this blog. Any question that involves bigging-up or promo'ing another Simblr cannot be about me, for fairness's sake.

This is a fun thing run by @freezerbnuuy which is a combination of the old beloved Simblr Question of the Day anon, the similar blog, and my old Simblr Story Question of the Day plus a little extra. It's designed to get people talking about their games and Sims and such, and hopefully to get them talking to other people too, but that's a bit nerve-wracking.

The questions will be about all aspects of Simblr including community, the games, Sims stories, your Sims, and so on. There may also be other fun things, like mini challenges, Ask Games, possibly little Bingo challenges and such. Don't feel obliged to answer / do everything!

I won't be reblogging answers to this account to prevent burnout, since I also run another Simblr challenge. You can tag your answers to the question with #simblr let's get talking so others and myself can see, if people want to keep an eye on the tag!

Remember, this is about reading what other people have to say as well as having your own input!

There are only a few rules: - IDK what kinds of things will appear here yet, but no generative AI usage in replies - Do not be rude about other Simblrs in your replies (you can trash EA all you want though, lol) - Please do not discuss any Simblr controversies or dramas surrounding other Simblrs. - Do not mention freezerbnuuy as a favourite blog, favourite writer, creator, etc. I appreciate that many of you like my stuff, but this is my thing, and therefore I'm excluding myself from any form of self promo through this!

Simblr Let's Get Talking June 2026 Monthly Challenge Framed Scenery Pics Collab!

This was a scheduled post before my taking a SLGT break, so I will still be doing this!

The June Monthly Challenge is pretty cool (I think?)

You must take a scenery screenshot. It can be of any world in any game, or any area, it just has to be a scenery screenshot of some kind. City, forest, beach, Sixam, Magic Realm, whatever!

I will then be gathering up all of the screenshots and will be making a piece of Sims 4 custom content with all the screenshots which will be released around the 29th-30th June. However, due to various things, it may end up being early July instead. It will either be framed wall art or a wall calendar or something similar, I haven't decided yet but it'll be something of that nature.

It does not matter if you don't use ReShade or GShade or SWRE, anyone can enter! BUT NOTHING AI-EDITED OR GENERATED!

The deadline of entry for this fun collab is the 28th June.

You will ALL be credited by your Tumblr username in the download post AND in-game item description.

If you do this, make sure to tag this blog so that I definitely see it! OR tag @freezerbnuuy. I will only be making the custom content for Sims 4, but once I do, if you want to convert it to Sims 2 or Sims 3 you're welcome to.

Let's talk Sims families! I want to see your Sims families' histories. Pick one family in your Sims games, it can be from rotational play, a legacy, or whatever.

Share with me the family trees, either screenshotted from in-game or made on a website.

If not that, share with me pictures of your Sims from that family, as many as you like!

Simblr, Let's Get Talking! 28th May '26 - Mini Challenge: Inspired By

This is this week's mini challenge combined with a community question. Your challenge is: You must make something that is inspired by the creative style of another Simblr. This could be:

Making a render / edited screenshot based off of another Simblr's editing style

Making a Sim inspired by the CAS style or overall 'vibes' of another Simblr's Sims (for example, if the inspirational Simblr makes a lot of goth Sims, you could make one too)

Making a Build that is inspired by another Simblr's builds.

If you are worried about 'copying' accusations, then I recommend doing this with a Simblr you are friends with already. Make sure you TAG that Simblr in your post so they can admire it!

No FreezerBnuuy rule is OFF for this one.

One for the gameplayers this time. I'm exhausted from work and also on the verge of potentially losing my job, so I guess it's time to talk Sim careers, where you ring up the phone or go on the computer and get the damn job almost right away.

What jobs do you tend to give your Sims?

Do you ever try to max out career levels, or do you just get to a point where your Sim can comfortably live on the Simoleons?

Simblr, Let's Get Talking! Weekly Showcase - 24th May '26

Time for another Sunday showcase!

If you haven't checked already, @crazy-hazy-sims has taken over from Aniraklova for the Edgewave Festival 2026, a fun co-operative themed thing where you create a band, 'advertise' them, optionally make merch like posters for them, and take pictures them on a set venue performing to a crowd! Take part if that sounds like fun to you! You have until the end of June anyway, so no rush!

Simblr user prophetictattoo has revived a Simblr trend that's good fun - Lately, people have been making in each others' Sims in their own Simming styles and sharing them! I can't remember what Simmer came up with the idea, but that's something else fun to try! @regulusims was kind enough to make one of my Sims in their style, I'm obsessed! I like this more realistic style a lot.

@nightsky90s has some fun builds, my favourite being this Glimmerbrook Micro Home! you can nab in on the Gallery from EA ID nightsky90s.

And @cockatoocc's Castaway gameplay has captured my heart! Go and take a look < 3

Simblr, Let's Get Talking! 23rd May '26 - #31: Build Challenge: Living Room - No CC, 1 Expansion Only

This is a Build Challenge where you must design a living room / lounge room / sitting room / drawing room, whatever word you use for it.

The challenge is there must be NO CC, and you must only use the Base Game's items and items from 1 other Pack depending on which challenge you choose.

The challenges you can choose from are as follows:

• CAT LOVER'S LIVING ROOM - Design a living room for 1 adult and 2 cats only using the Base Game's items and items from Pets (TS2,TS3) or Cats and Dogs (TS4).

• DOG LOVER'S LIVING ROOM - Design a living room for 1 adult and 2 dogs only using the Base Game's items and items from Pets (TS2,TS3) or Cats and Dogs (TS4).

• UNIVERSITY LIVING - Design a living room for student accommodation where 3 students live, using only the Base Game's items and University (TS2), University Life (TS3) and Discover University (TS4).

• SEASIDE ESCAPE - Design a living room for a couple to rent for a seaside stay using only the Base Game's items and Bon Voyage (TS2), Island Paradise (TS3) or Island Living (TS4).

Using MoveObjects On cheat is perfectly allowed! You can optionally put the living rooms up for download by others, but only if you want to.

Simblr, Let's Get Talking! 22nd May '26 - #30: Paralives

Something not quite Sims-related today, but for obvious reasons has been on a lot of Simmers' radars for a while now. The game Paralives, a life sim game, is (according to this website) releasing this week in Early Access.

A lot of people in this community have been following the game's progress since its fairly-early days. I have had zero interest in this game since its early development, but I want to know what you lot think!

'Do I have to answer all of those questions?' Not at all! There's QUITE a lot of questions here, so feel free to NOT answer all of them, or to just reply generically with how you feel about the game.
