A Simmer's Play Through of RDR2
Ran into a guy I apparently saved once so he let me buy whatever. Got a new gun.
Then I ran into these twins arguing over something, I dont really remember what, but they wanted to prove their masculinity.
Wanted me to shoot bottles off their heads while they stood on one leg, jumped, etc. I think they were trying to fight for the attention of the girl? But idk, I think after this if anything the girl may be more interested in Arthur than these buffoons.
Ayeee, new real estate going up in Valentine!
He beat you because hes Arthur Morgan, duh.
Taking care of the new babes. Starfall is just hanging out at the stables for now. I can swap horses anytime, but I figure since I got this pretty horse for free .99 that we would go on some adventures together. I will say she is better at not getting spooked as much as Starfall!
What's this cute little building?
Arthur wanted to draw it. I found some cans of fruit and some bullets. Always nice to have extras of those.
I've played this game how long now and am just not seeing turtles? Apparently you can use their shells for crafting and selling? But I don't wanna hurt these lil guys.
This is the house of the fisherman we're finding and mailing all the legendary fish too. He's gone so I sought out shelter from the sudden rain storm in his house. Found not one, but TWO fishy cards!
I have the urge to swim to that island.... (I did. I found not a darn thing.)
A bounty hunt for a Lemoyne Raider? Ooo my favorite.
Who me?
Thankfully he was wanted alive OR dead cause 4 came after me and I didn't know which one was him soooo
Sir I don't think Gavin is alive... I've seen you all over this map looking for him?
Back to camp to get some rest. Nighty-night Arthur!
Just A Little Robbery, That's All (And Dinosaurs Bones!)
Good news, we still have the dog named Cain
Damn, ladies! Fighting over I don't even remember what.
Lenny has something up his sleeve... A stagecoach robbery, Arthur's favorite.
And Arthur wants in on it.
Lenny I literally learned you were like 20 in this mission, yes you do.
Lenny listen to directions!! I said not yet!!
Oop- It was a set up...
Thank you for not dying, Lenny. I would've died myself. Didn't really come out with much money. Be careful where you're scoping out jobs, Lenny! Make sure they aren't set ups.
More stagecoach robbery!
On my way to the hideout to wait for this wagon that was carrying fragilel, valuable goods, Lemoyne Raiders ran up on me. Gosh, I hate this gang. (also I know it looks like I was aiming directly at the horse, the horse was unharmed! do not fear)
I was so distracted when the coach came along because of this lighting storm, especially considering a tree got struck right next to me. But we made it! Got the goods.
Here you go, sir.
I've been here before but I had to come back becauseeee
There's a dinosaur bone in here!
Omg its you again! It's been awhile.
I looked up a map for all the dinosaur bones and the area I was in happened to of had quite a few nearby, so I went ahead and crossed off three more bones off the collection list!
I've marked some of the others on the map so we can cross them off when in the area. Or one of these days I'll just take Arthur around the map and go and get these ones. There's a bunch in the other half of the map that the story hasn't quite unlocked yet.
Club Night:
CW: talk of light spice
Tonight the gang was letting loose and having a night at the club. Of course Shane would be there, but Drew was used to that at this point, being Janie’s boyfriend and all. He had become stupidly good at hiding his feelings; both the longing ones for Janie and the dislike ones for Shane.
Drew greeted Janie, and wow, did she look great. Different, as well. He had never seen Janie without her curls before. She still looked good. As if she could ever look bad, but he loved her curls. As always, Drew only got so much time to talk to Janie until Shane showed up.
Drew did love to dance, but in a large crowd and with Janie and Shane in attendance, he needed some liquid courage so he went up to the bar for his first drink of the night. Maxine joined him and they talked small-chat until Maxine headed down to the dance floor and Drew quickly followed. He knew that's where Janie and Shane were but there was enough people on the dance floor he should be able to hide his view of them.
Well, so Drew thought. His eyes betrayed him time and time again by watching them. He watched as they grinded together, kissed each other, and saw as Shane placed his hands all over Janie. That should've been him. He wanted it to be him. Janie was in a short, tight-fitting dress and watcher did it make Drew feel things. It was the costume party night all over again. He thought of Janie dancing on him like that. Janie kissing him like that as they both got tipsy. Drew imagined grazing his finger tips along the bottom of her short dress, teasing her by going slightly underneath it as if he were to lift it off of her.
He shook himself out of thought. Now is not the time to be thinking these things again. He watched as Janie looked at Shane like they were the only two in the room. But Drew was looking at her wishing it was just them.
Drew found himself back up at the bar.
Bartender: Back already, kid?
Drew sighed as he plopped down into the seat. "Gin and Tonic please."
Bartender: You're looking a little glum for a young boy like you at a club on a Saturday night. You okay?
Drew: I will be.
Bartender: You like that brunette down there huh
Drew snaps his head towards the bartender. "What?"
Bartender: You notice a lot up here... I've been able to piece together stories and drama watching people. The brunette down there with the blonde... You look at them and your eyes turn sad.
Drew: I'm fine. Another one please.
Bartender: Sure, kid. But take it easy or you'll spill this secret of yours.
Drew wasn't sure how he made it there, but the next thing he remembers is being woken up by kitchen noises on Janie's couch. Damn, did he really drink that much? He doesn't remember much after talking to the bartender.
Drew poked his head up, and there she was, in her pajamas, making breakfast.
Drew: Hey
Janie: Morning! I figured everyone will want some food this morning, especially you... I'm making french toast. You feeling okay?
No, I hate my life and I want to bend you over the counter and kiss you and my head is pounding and- "Yeah... I-I'm fine. Sorry I had to sack out on your couch.
Drew ate some of the french toast Janie made for everyone, but he needed to head home. Shane was likely going to wake up soon and the last thing Drew wanted to see was him.
Janie: You leaving? You know you can hang as long as you want. Everyone else should be up soon.
Of course I want to stay. I'd never leave if you asked me to stay forever.
Drew: Did Shane stay?
Janie: Yeah of course he did.
Just what he thought. Definitely time to leave.
Drew: I uh- I'm just gonna head back home. I will sleep rest of the day honestly.
Janie: Okay... Make sure you add a shower to your to do list... You kinda wreak of gin...
Drew smiled. How are you so cute? Despite her saying he stunk, he just wanted to wrap her in an embrace. "Hah, sorry. I'll make sure I shower. I'll see you later."
Mary-Beth wanting the tea. But you're so right, she was a fool. Fumbled the bag hard. I'd never fumble you Arthur.
What's up Mrs. Grimshaw?
People took Tilly!!!! And you're so right, very beginning of the game, when you first go into Valentine there's some man harassing Tilly. Thought I told you to leave her alone...
I was not familiar with your game, Mrs. Grimshaw! Ruthless!
I've got you Tilly! No need to worry! But uh... Where'd the others go? Cause they aren't getting out of this unscathed.
Borrowed this horse and ran after the leader of this gang. Gotcha! You're coming back with meeeee.
Tilly apparently killed Anthony's cousin... I don't know if we got told why but probably was for good reason.
I hate when I'm given the choice to kill someone or let them live. Grimshaw voted to get rid of him, but Tilly did say she wanted him to go back to his family and to tell them to stop messing with her and the gang. I always spare people, but it just better not come back and bite me in the butt later on....
Can't forget to loot the place! We found a horsie card!
So Grimshaw and Tilly went off on the wagon we rode down here, leaving me alone, and then this horse was marked on the map as a "spare horse" so I guess this horse is mine now? I'm not complaining, I love her. Her name is Freckles.
A stanger mission with Mr. Black and Mr. White popped up. I was hesitant cause last time I helped these fellers I got a town shut down... But, I guess what could go wrong?
They ate some sort of plant and managed to poison themselves. But Arthur is here to save the day! Gave them some medicine and told them to be on their way.
Costume Party:
It was the annual costume party that Janie and Maxine hosted every year. Drew usually loves any excuse to be with his friends but he was slightly regretting this one because Shane would be there, just like he was always there like the save's most annoying and persistent stain. But, he had no good excuse, at least not one that wouldn't cause him to get an ear-full from Maxine for the next year. "You can do this. We can ignore Shane, have some drinks and enjoy time with friends. We will not be fawning over Janie tonight."
But little did Drew know that Janie would be in a costume such as a sexy maid. "Well shit...."
He wanted to turn back. He wanted to head home and tell Maxine he caught a stomach bug and couldn't leave the bathroom and he would make it up later. But he made eye contact with Janie so now there was no turning back.
Janie: Drew, hey!
Drew: Hey, hey
Janie: Your costume! It's so good, you look... R-really nice.
Drew feels himself start to blush. Did Janie just stutter complimenting him? He complimented her back and for a second he thought they may of had a moment until a blonde-haired man's nagging voice soiled his presence.
Drew turned to get away from them both, but couldn't help but wonder if maybe Janie looked at him differently for a second. But maybe it's just the lighting because no way would Janie, who is with someone else, would look at Drew in a different way than as friends. Drew went to find where the drinks were and to find someone else but Janie to talk to. The rest of the night Drew avoided Janie and he wondered if it was obvious. He certainly didn’t want Janie to think he was mad at her, because he wasn’t. He was mad at himself. He’s let this crush fester and grow for a few years at this point. Some days he thought it was gone, usually after days of not seeing Janie, but then her name would light up his phone and he’d get giddy. She would walk in the same room and suddenly he couldn’t pry his attention away from her. Every hug gave him butterflies and every time she laughed at a joke of his he felt an overwhelming sense of euphoria. Janie didn’t always catch onto jokes, but Drew knew the ones that made her laugh. Drew knew he understood Janie more than most people did. Her understood her quirks; how she doesn’t always get sarcasm, so he hardly used it around her. He knew her favorites, like her favorite games, her favorite dessert to bake, her favorite brother (she won’t admit she has one but she does), and her favorite pizza toppings. He knew how sometimes Janie takes things way too literal and how she could be clueless at times, but he found it adorable.
But there were things Drew didn’t know about Janie. Like what it felt like to kiss Janie. What it would feel like to have her fingertips graze over his body. What her body would feel like. Drew watched Janie from across the room. Her blue dress just barely long enough to cover her. He wondered what it would be like to untie the back and watch it fall off her body, a stunning sight no doubt. He wondered what she would taste like as he kissed her stomach, up between her breasts and reaching her neck. What sounds she would make as he made love to her.
“Stop. Stop, stop, stop. Watcher, I have to get out of here. “ Drew checked the time. It was a reasonable enough time to where he could leave. A few guests had left already and he just couldn’t stay here any longer. Drew said goodbye to Maxine, mentioning he had an early day tomorrow, and snuck out without Janie noticing.
Drew found himself stopped at a park, sitting on a bench watching the night sky. He needed the breeze on his face to cool his blushing-self. “How much of an ass am I to be dreaming of someone else’s girlfriend?”
As Drew sat there by himself he came to a very scary conclusion. “Shit… I’m in love with her.”
The Night Drew Almost Confessed:
He was going to do it. Drew was going to ask Janie out. There were plans tonight for the group to get together for a game night and Drew was feeling confident. Warren was out of the picture and had been for some time now. With an extra spritz of cologne and a double-check to make sure the beanie was straight he headed to Janie's.
Drew arrived and there was a new face here. Some guy named Shane. Janie introduced him, but not as a someone she was dating, so Drew brushed it off and went along with the night as they all played games together.
As they played Woo-Who?! together Shane pulled a card that asked who he would want to kiss the most in the room, and while Drew knew he wasn't going to say Maxine or Erik or himself, the pang of hurt he felt when he said Janie was strong. Did Shane like Janie and that's why he was here? Did Janie like him? Drew felt his confidence of asking Janie out start to slip.
After the games were over and Shane had left, Drew met Maxine in the kitchen and asked about Shane.
Drew: What’s the deal with Janie & Shane? Where did he come from?
Maxine: They just ran into each other while Janie was training at the bar.
Drew: Does she… like him or something?
Maxine: I’m not sure, yet. He said he was looking for friends so she invited him over. Did you catch some of his flirting tonight too? I feel like I saw a spark.
Drew tried to hold back the pain in his face, "really?"
Maxine: Totally! They had nice conversation. But it’s up to Janie. She may not want to date yet after Warren.
Every ounce of confidence Drew had to ask Janie out tonight had vanished. Janie probably liked Shane and that's why he was here tonight. He felt like an idiot. Of course Janie wouldn't want to go out with him. Janie views Drew as a friend and nothing more, because if she did this Shane guy wouldn't of been here tonight.
Drew left and went back home and stared up at the ceiling for what felt like hours. Did he miss his window to ask her out? What if Janie and Shane start dating? What if they stayed together? What if they got married? So many thoughts swirled in Drew’s mind. “Alright, man. Stop. We have no idea if Janie even likes him. Frankly, he doesn’t seem like Janie’s type… And if they don’t get together… We will ask her out. Watcher, I’m so damn scared to ask her. Will it make things too awkward? How badly would it hurt to be rejected by her? Whatever. We will move on if she says no. Maybe that’s just what I need to move on…"
But unfortunately, Drew's worst nightmare came true when at the beach one day he saw Janie & Shane kissing...
Maxine: ooOooOo! What is that I see over there?!
Drew: Damn…
And that was that. Janie was Shane’s girlfriend and he couldn’t do anything about it. Drew was left to continue to harbor his secret.
A Date With Freya:
Tonight Drew had a date with Erik's sister, Freya. It was set to be pretty casual, but they both enjoyed their time around each other and one day Freya asked Drew if he would ever want to go out sometime. He said yes. Freya was fun, has great style and was kind. They were around each other often enough being in the same friend group and wanted to see if maybe there was something more.
So, Drew freshened up and got ready to head to Freya's house to pick her up.
Drew: Hey
Freya: Hey!
Drew: You all ready?
Freya: Yeah, let's go.
The two of them walked downtown to the restaurant where their reservation was at, chatting as they went along.
Drew: Have you ever eaten here before?
Freya: I have! It's pretty good. Can't go wrong with most of the items.
Drew: Nice. So how has work been?
Freya; Oh, same ol' same ol'. What about you?
Drew: I'm still just doing some side jobs while working on my pottery business. I really only know how to make vases at the moment.
Freya: Well, we all have to start somewhere. You'll learn how to create other things and I'm sure they will be great.
Drew: You've done a little pottery before, right?
Freya: Yeah, I've taken a few classes. It is really fun, I see why you enjoy it.
As the night went on and they waited for their food to arrive, Drew listened to Freya as she talked, but noticing the vitiligo around her eye reminded him of someone else. Suddenly he couldn't get her out of his mind and he couldn't hear a word Freya was saying anymore. He thought of Janie and the vitiligo around her eye; the color of her eyes, a vibrant green, her button nose, her lips...
Drew was brought back to reality when Freya's hand touched his.
Freya: Drew? Are you still there?
Drew: Huh? Oh sorry. What were you saying?
Freya: Are you okay?
Drew: Yeah... Yeah. Sorry, I just had something on my mind for a second. Continue, please.
Freya: We don't have to do this if you don't want to, Drew.
Drew felt a little defeated. If he couldn't go out and enjoy a date without thinking of Janie then what could he do? Was he down that bad?
Drew: I'm sorry, Freya. Now just may not be a good time for me to be dating. I've got other things going on that are distracting me.
Freya: Hey, I get it... I don't think there's much of a spark between us I'm noticing, to be honest.
Drew snorted, "Ouch. But you may be right."
Freya smiled back, "Friends?"
Drew: Of course. Would you let me buy you fro-yo from the place down the street as a friend?
Freya: I'd never say no to that!
So, Drew & Freya left their date knowing they are better off as friends, and Drew realized if he were to date again, he has to make sure Janie is not on his mind. Something much easier said than done lately.
Yvonne had a good run but is apparently cursed in the code so she is set to retire after providing us with 15 out of 100 babies! I need a new matriarch and am hoping for some help to stop me feeling overly depressed about this turn of fortunes. If you have not already voted on what world the matriarch should fall in please go HERE as the poll will run another couple of days.
Below the cut are various categories I need help making choices in (I am indecisive, please please help) so please take a look and pick a choice to help! Please leave your choice in the comments with the number it relates to- one choice per person at the moment as we all live in different timezones. I know she will identify as female, be human and have dark skin as well as the family oriented trait but I need help with some other choices... Not too many about facial details because I do have face blindness... As comments come in I will update the post to show what options have been picked.
For those curious I will be making our base sim with the Play With Genetics feature using several sims in my library.

Ever wonder what Drew was doing for 7 years when he was falling for Janie? Ever wonder what truly ran through his mind? Well, here's the story...
Part 1
Sulani:
It was just another day when Drew woke up in Sulani on a trip with his best friends and their family. Janie walked downstairs, said 'good morning' and it was normal.
It was all normal until that one evening the three of them were on the beach watching the sunset. The colors of the sunset casting across Janie's face and her laughing had Drew smiling.
He thought to himself, "Has Janie always been this pretty?" But he quickly shut that thought down cause what was that all about? Yeah, Janie was pretty, so he's not sure why this particular time had him feeling like he could watch her laugh forever.
Drew went back home after that trip and didn't think much of that moment again. Not until a man named Warren came into the picture. Someone Janie had started seeing. Janie had all the right to date, this was even her first crush and boyfriend so why did Drew feel... Jealous?
Breakup With Warren:
Drew was hanging out with Maxine while Janie was over at Warren's. He wished he didn't, but he had wished she was there. Janie had been with Warren for some time now, so he didn't know why he was still facing these thoughts of Janie so often. He accepted he may of had a small crush at this point, but crushes go away, just like this one would. After all, he had a date coming up.
Later in the evening Janie stormed through the door. She wasn't there for very long, he thought.
Maxine: Janie? What're you doing back already? Weren't you at Warren's?
Drew: Is something wrong?
Maxine: She was going to... Oh no. Janie!
They had broken up and Drew felt bad. But he wasn't sure if he felt bad about the relationship ending, or because he hated seeing Janie upset.
The mood quickly changed when the three of them opened bottles of wine and started dancing.
Drew really did love his friends. Maxine had spotted him on his first day of school as the new kid and immediately took him under her wing. He got introduced to Janie and three had been inseparable since. Which is part of the reason why Drew is so conflicted on these new feelings for Janie. He cherished their friendship more than anything, because all feelings aside, Janie was his best friend and he'd never forgive himself if he ever ruined it. Plus, admitting you have a crush for your best friend is a scary thought. But this night, he forgot about that as they all three enjoyed themselves while they danced away in the living room, playing music and giggling way too loud.
The night wound down and everyone got tired. Maxine had gone up to bed, but Janie stayed downstairs with Drew, choosing to lay in his lap.
She started opening up about the start of her night with Warren. She was planning they could woohoo for the first time, and hearing Janie say that made him sad. He couldn't imagine being broken up with when you had entirely different plans for the night. He wanted to tell Janie how worthy she is and how any guy would be so lucky to be with her, but he couldn't stop focusing on the one thing she said, "...when I am standing there in lingerie…” So, he settled for "He's an idiot,” because of the internal thoughts he was fighting regarding Janie and the idea of her being in lingerie.
He got Janie up to bed and quickly left. Arriving home he hopped in a cold shower to shock his body away from the thoughts infiltrating his mind, ones he could only reason were there because of the wine.
Rather than five posts a day, the end of this arc will have five days with one long post. Memories/flashbacks shown with pink borders
The next time I can confidently say I remember after breakfast is being in a hospital room. I have bits and pieces of the ambulance ride there. Someone asking me my name, the date, things I knew. But when they started asking me if I could remember why I was there I shut down. I didn’t know. It was scary. Like... how could I not know?
I was lying down when my parents came in, cautiously approaching me and telling me everything would be alright. Then Dylan and Apollo came in. Dylan tried to hug me but I recoiled. I didn’t understand what was happening and I couldn’t stand touch. They sat opposite me and while Dylan tried softly talking to me, Apollo just looked wrecked.
Then an old man came in. I felt like I should remember him, but I couldn’t place him, thinking made my head hurt.
Malcolm: I’ve looked at all the scans, they’re clear. She’s going to be okay
Daniela: Oh thank the watcher
Papa let go of my hand and walked over to him.
Byron: Are you sure the scans are clear?
Malcolm: Yes. She has sustained no permanent brain damage. No swelling, no bleeding
Byron: But they were asking her questions about today... the only one she could answer was what day it is. The rest... well her echolalia kicked in
Malcolm: I know this is probably very scary son but memory problems, especially around the time of the injury, they’re pretty common in concussion. Give her time. Now Apollo was it?
Apollo: Yes?
Malcolm: Don’t fill in the blanks for her. When the police get her statement they will be looking for if she’s been coached on what to say or if it seems like genuine recall
Papa walked over to me and took hold of my hand again, bending down to be at my eye level.
Byron: I’m going to go talk to the police and the dean of the university jitterbug. There will be a way through this, I promise
Delilah: *quietly and confused* Promise
They left and some kind of nurse came in. She bent down to touch my arm and I tried to crawl away.
Delilah: NO *gasps at pain*
Daniela: Delilah, sweetie, sweetie, the nurse here just has to tend to your arm so it will heal properly
Delilah: Heal?
Daniela: She’s only going to touch you as much as necessary, no more
Mama looked at the nurse who nodded her agreement. Reluctantly I stuck my arm back out and she began to wrap a bandage around it.
When the nurse left I couldn’t stop staring at my arm. I didn’t understand anything. Dylan stood up and came over to sit on the bed with me. I was on a hospital bed?
Delilah: I...
Dylan: Take your time
Delilah: *scared* Dylan... I don’t understand what I’m doing here or why that nurse put this wrap on my arm. It hurts but I don’t know why
Daniela: Sweetie you sprained your wrist. They did an X-ray so they know nothing is broken. Do you remember that?
I remembered a woman lying my arm on a table and telling me to hold still. That must have been it. I nodded.
Delilah: Nothing is broken?
Dylan: Nope. You’ll be back to kneading bread with both hands soon if you just rest it
I looked over at Apollo. He looked so sad, and something else. Some emotion I couldn’t place.
Delilah: Apollo are you okay?
Apollo: *sadly* I’m not the one in a hospital bed. But I should be
Daniela: Apollo sweetie it’s not your fault
Dylan: Lilah, what is the last thing you remember from today before being here?
Delilah: Umm... We were all having breakfast. Rina said she would let me know when I could shower. *winces* My arm really hurts
Daniela: I’ll go check with a nurse if you can have more painkillers
As Mama left James walked in. Talk about a day that made no sense.
Apollo: *confused* What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you still be with the police?
James: They have no more questions right now. I wanted to see how she was doing
Apollo: Well she remembers fuck all and is lucky not to have a broken wrist
James: That is quite a shiner
Confused I felt around my eyes and winced. One side was definitely sore- maybe there was a bruise coming?
James: Look, I just wanted to apologise for-
Delilah: Wait. Wait wait wait. We’ve... we’ve talked already today? Is that right?
James: *nods* Yes. We were the last two on the roster for the staggered start
I closed my eyes, bits of memory trying to reassert themselves.
Delilah: Give me a minute...
The door closed behind Apollo and I was left with James. Fifteen minutes until he would go in, thirty minutes until I would.
Delilah: What do you make of the chef then?
James: He seems nice enough, if quiet. I do think it’s weird he doesn’t want to watch us cook
Delilah: Right? Like who doesn’t love to watch cooking?
For the first time we chuckled together and I felt my chest unclench a little.
James: Look, I ah... I think I might owe you an apology
Delilah: For what?
James: When we met I assumed you were spoiled idle rich. These last two years though... you’re a good cook Delilah. You have talent
Delilah: You really think so?
James: I do. I don't think we're ever going to be friends. While it's not malicious and you're hardly alone in this, you still have a lot of privilege to unpack. But I'll be happy to tell people I worked alongside you.
Delilah: *smiles* Thanks. You’re a good cook to. I don’t doubt you’ll work hard to achieve your dreams, whatever they are
After the half year break the rest of the year sped by. I was busy with classes sure but I was keeping my head above water. I had a solid self care and workout routine, Reginald had gone through another successful molt, and I was starting to look at the restaurants in town to figure out where there might be vacancies. All in all I felt like things were falling into place. I even had good time for my other hobbies like paper mache!
