Yup, it sure will be! That will really make it real. Will it be Megan or Sue first? Another athlete? A narp? I’m actually morbidly curious who they each date next.

Hey, so Sue seems to be in a new location in her pod today? That’s not any of her houses. But looks like a lived in kitchen. And did you see that Megan did some work with Airbnb? Maybe that’s what she was doing for housing after they split?

Hmm…yes anon, agree that’s a new spot for her. Guess she could be at a friends’ house? If Megan was in NY this week, seems like Sue didn’t film at their place- this pod seems recent. Which might hint that they’re not overlapping there or seeing each other? It’s impossible to know, and unless we see that kitchen background again, I don’t think we can draw a lot of conclusions from it.

And I did see that abt Airbnb on X. I would guess that’s exactly where she stayed after the split- a bunch of Airbnb’s. Which sadly, also kinda hints to me that even tho they weren’t in the same city, Megan didn’t want to stay there.

Still so many questions we’ll probably never know the answer to!

If I had to guess- I’d say occasional texts and check ins? They probably still have logistical stuff to iron out, like are they selling NY, or is one buying the other out? It’s hard to know how cordially they really left it. They’re older, more mature. Hopefully they are still sort of in the others’ life a little bit.

She probably has a burner shes used for a while, and this will be her “official” one. As long as there wasn’t any shade or wild speculation, I wouldn’t worry too much. I would be bet most athlete/famous person sees a lot of what is out there. At least eventually.

I know. My guess is they will. I think they are still kinda sharing the same manager, and if she’s there they may all hang. Or at least cross paths. Yeah, I wonder if it’s as cordial as their statement made it out to be. If it is, then they should totally be able to have a chill run in. Or maybe it’s still too soon and raw for that to happen. Last 2 years they’ve gone to this together- have to think that might make it hard this year.

Original anon. I inferred Sue did not go to CA from what was said on the pod in the Alyssa Naeher episode. Megan was in CA unexpectedly and Sue was in their NYC kitchen. The pods before and after were in the NYC studio.

Megan has two older bros - Michael, the oldest from her mom’s first marriage who passed, and Brian, the addict who spent time in prison. She rarely ever spoke about Michael.

Oh wow. I didn’t know there was an older brother. Or had forgotten it. Yeah- he was almost never mentioned. Super sad. But if this was in October, all seemed still fairly okay. I keep going back to the soccer game- there’s this super cute video of Megan running up to Sue in her pink wig and Sue like grabbing her face and kissing her- that seems normal behavior for them. Who knows, maybe Megan thought it’d be better if she could go on her own. I feel like Sue has shown up to most of Megan’s family stuff over the years.

Wow- they sure kept that out of the media. So super sad. It always sounded like he lived a hard life. It’s hard to tell from her writing if Sue was with her or not. In all those November pink wig NWSL final pics and posts they seemed cute and together like they always have. She wrote her a cute bday post. But yeah, this sure could have shifted her priorities.

Holy sh't. Her brother died??? The timeline makes way more sense now. She's already struggling, brother dies suddenly, Sue doesn't appear to have gone to the funeral, she starts re-evaluating everything. Sue's ambition/career comes before family.

Agree- she really did speak so thoughtfully about it. And kinda confirmed the split had been in the works for awhile. Listening to her, I definitely think retirement was a big factor in it all. Like, maybe once they had all the time in the world together, they realized they weren’t super compatible. Or had different ideas abt what it would look like. Seems like Megan didn’t love doing the pod together. Yeah, I don’t see them talking a ton abt it publicly. Maybe Sue will say her piece in a similar way. Still really, really surprised abt this break up. Never, ever thought it was possible.

Yes, clearly she is going thru some stuff. Wonder if they just weren’t on the same page abt how they’d spend their time? Or Megan needed more from Sue? Sue had a head start on retirement, so she had already found a path for herself by the time Megan joined her. They just seemed so in sync that if there was a bump, they’d get past it together.

I don’t know- maybe ads? I just did a cursory check, and I don’t see anything really missing. All her posts with Sue seem to still be up. Made me so sad to go back in time and see them when they were happy. 😢

Its been a week and it still feels unreal

I know- I was thinking the same thing earlier today. But it’s only been a week for us- not for them. They have had a much longer time to process this. And if their public appearances this week are any indication, they seem to be doing fine. It’s all us fans who are still reeling!

I wasn’t a fan back when they were supposedly dating, so I can’t totally confirm. I think it was in the 2015 time frame, and before? They definitely posted together multiple times. An inactive blogger on here that lives in Seattle and has been a longtime fan, described it as a kinda messy fwb situation that went on for years. Who knows. Sue said in an article she had 2 long term relationships before she met Megan, and this is rumored to have been one.

The new pod episode i found great, megan has such a good way of speaking about topics that really just draws me in and makes me so focused on her. Intrested to know if next weeks episode with sue will be as good

Yeah, Megan’s always been good on pods and has a good way of explaining the things simply- very real and authentic. I think she’ll have no difficulties handling a solo pod. And Sue already does. I think her Birds Eye is the best 🏀 one. She asks good questions and I feel like her guests are really open. Guessing Sue will basketball peeps and Megan will have soccer ones for these last few.
