Thanks to collaborations with Peter Seller she reached the top 5 with the song Goodness Gracious Me in 1961 and a year later she did it again with the song Bangers and Mash.

This is one of the scenes in the film Two Women that proved Sophia was indeed capable of dramatic acting and it earned her her very first Academy Award. She became the first actor ever to win the Best Actress Academy Award for a role spoken in a foreign language.
