Pumpkin and Milo’s House Tour - Part II

Pumpkin and Milo live in a detached garage that was converted into a (tiny) one floor house. There is one bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. With so little space, they got creative and turned their kitchen into a combination of a kitchen and a living room...and technically a dining room and study as well.

Since they rarely entertain any guests, there was no need for a dining room table and chairs. They opted to put a small sofa in their kitchen and a tiny desk that serves as both a space to eat and use their laptop. The rather large bay window in the kitchen provides much needed space for books and plants. To the horror of Pumpkin’s female friends, there is also no closet (gasp!) so clothes are hung on a rack in the kitchen and also stored in the bedroom.

Late for Dinner

It was easier for Pumpkin to come home late at night. Milo was already sound asleep in bed and she could grab a quick shower then slip under the blankets next to him. No conversation, no piquing suspicion, just quietly entering their bedroom under the cover of darkness. She had no such luck on this particular evening. Much to her dismay, Milo had arrived home early in an attempt to surprise her with dinner. A fact she was alerted to after a quick succession of texts from him asking where she was and when she’d be home.

Always ready with a lie she responded, letting him know her job had called her in to work the evening shift and she’d be home later that night. Wanting to cover her bases she added that she wouldn’t need a ride home since her co-worker offered to drop her off. The last lie killed two birds with one stone. She wouldn’t have to worry about Milo popping up at her job and discovering she wasn’t actually there and if he happened to catch a glance of her hopping out of Hector’s truck, she would merely pass him off as the supposed co-worker.

Pumpkin was slick and determined to have her cake and eat it too. With the warmth and security of her home with Milo coupled with the passion and excitement of her fling with Hector, she had everything she ever wanted.

Hector and Pumpkin

Pumpkin took a moment to catch her breath and slowly eased herself off of Hector’s lap, plopping down in the passenger’s seat beside him.

“Do you know where my–” Before she could finish her sentence, Hector had reached down on the floor below to scoop up her discarded shirt and panties, dropping them into Pumpkin’s outstretched hands. “Thanks.” She flashed him an embarrassed smile as she awkwardly attempted to dress herself in the small space of the truck.

“We’ve got to find a better place to do this.” Hector glanced in the rearview mirror as a couple made their way down the alley, walking past his truck while doing their best to pretend they weren’t staring inside. “Look, those people right there. If we had just been a few minutes late, they would have caught us right in the act.”

“Well I guess it’s good you finished early?” Pumpkin let out a shrill laugh and elbowed her boyfriend playfully but he was not amused. “Aw, come on. It was only a joke.”

Hector removed the keys from the ignition and swung the driver’s door open. “Ugh, I know it was a joke, that’s not why I’m mad and you know it.” He sighed and shut the door, making his way over to the passenger’s side. As he reached for the handle, Pumpkin quickly smacked down the lock. Leaning her face on the window, she blew onto the glass and traced a heart into the fog. The heart slowly disappeared and behind it he saw her sad expression. Pumpkin silently mouthed the words “I’m sorry”.

They had been dating for the past six months although Hector hesitated to use the word “date” as he wasn’t technically Pumpkin’s boyfriend. When they met she had made it seem as if her previous relationship had run its course and had all but ended.  But month after month Pumpkin came up with more and more excuses why it “wasn’t a good time” for her to break things off with her boyfriend. So he continued to settle for “dates” at 2am that were little more than him parking his truck in the alley behind her house so they could have sex.

The passenger door opened and Pumpkin slid out, a sheepish grin spread across her face. “Forgive me?” She asked tentatively. When Hector didn’t respond she punched him in the arm and shouted, “Forgive me  you dummy!” She crossed her arms and stormed away in a huff.

“Fine, I forgive you!” Hector chased after, grabbing her arm and swinging the short girl to face him. “I’ll forgive. Like I always have every day since we first met. But I can’t keep doing this forever. I’m lonely Pumpkin. You say you’re my girlfriend but I only see you on certain days at certain times and it’s fucking frustrating. I’m tired of spending everyday alone, not knowing whether or not I’ll get to see you. I’m tired of having to share you with some stranger and I just don’t think–”

She reached up her arms, gently cradling his face in both her hands. “I promise. This is the last time you’ll have to forgive me.” Pumpkin spoke softly, punctuating her sentence with a soft kiss.

Road Trip

Noel and Helena continue to loudly chant “Road Trip!” from the backseat as Desiree sips her coffee and Travis searches for the best route on his phone. The group of roommates are on their way to a concert in another city but secretly the three women have ulterior motives for this trip. Without his knowledge, the bossy and bespectacled Noel has contacted Travis’ ex-girlfriend in hopes of reuniting the former pair. After roping Helena and Desiree into her haphazard plan, they concocted a scheme to get Travis to travel to the city his ex-girlfriend relocated to. Will this plan help him to rediscover a lost love or will their scheming cause more heartache for their friend?

Are u talking about lilsimsie?

I'm talking about the community as a whole. I hope that anyone who has found their self saying/doing something that may be deemed racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic will step back and honestly reevaluate their actions and hopefully try to grow from their mistakes. Holding people accountable for their actions isn't hatred or antagonism, it's wanting to hold everyone to a fair standard so our community can foster not only creativity but inclusivity as well. Despite our ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation, we are all here because we share a common interest. This community itself is an excellent example of diversity, so why not have our games reflect that?

Get your fucking priorities straight

I haven't even been part of simblr that long. I left SL because it was exhausting constantly having to deal with rampant racism, homophobia and sexism. I thought the sims community would be chill. Jokes on me. The thing that kills me though is a simblr will do something clearly fucked up and people will come out of the damn woodwork to defend them. And on the rare occasion that a person says "hey, what I did was fucked up and I want to apologize" instead of acknowledging what they did was wrong and evaluating the circumstances that led to them needing to apologize, you guys instead reply with "it's your game, don't apologize, play however you want!". What in the actual fuck is wrong with all of you? Hold people accountable for being racist, sexist or homophobic. Make it clear that their actions are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Stop giving people a pass for doing shitty things just because you like the content they create. It's ridiculous and it's hurting people in this community we all claim to love. We are people first and simmers second. Make equality a priority.
