We have been in touch with every animal charity, every possible payment plan provider and we are trying to raise as much money to help one of our family cats Luna get emergency surgery.
She has a feline pyometra, a condition very rarely seen. It is extremely life threatening and the only option is surgery.
If we can at least raise Ā£1000 (we are halfway there) to get her into surgery, we will then be able to access a payment plan for the other half of the Ā£2000.

Originally, he was diagnosed with a urinary blockage, which he did have surgery to fix and which seems to have been a success. However, his recovery has not gone as smoothly as we would have hoped, and he's since developed pretty severe constipation, as well as a UTI. He's currently at the emergency vet being treated for that, and we're hopeful that we can bring him home soon.
As you can imagine, this has been very costly. I was unfortunately denied on a care credit payment plan, and while we were luckily able to cover the cost of the original surgery, this additional stay in the hospital is really beginning to add up. Also, because Hank is FIV+, getting pet insurance for occasions such as this has proven tricky, as that counts as a preexisting condition.
Any and all donations are very much appreciated, and will go directly towards his vet bills. Thank you for reading this far, and for taking the time to help us get our little man on the road to recovery.

āOn June 18, 2026, Edwin was detained by ICE outside of his home and taken to Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, New Jersey. While in detention, Edwin was reportedly denied the consistent medical care and medications he needed to manage his diabetes, high blood pressure, and seizure disorder. This is when Oscar, Edwin's brother reached out to us.
On the evening of July 31, Edwin called his mother. He told her that he was feeling very sick, that he could not feel half of his face or his right hand, and that he planned to request medical attention. He hoped he would receive the care he desperately needed.
The next day, his condition worsened. Even though detention staff were aware that Edwin was ill, they did not act until after he collapsed. Later that evening, Edwin's mother received a heartbreaking phone call from University Hospital in Newark informing her that her son had died and asking her to come identify his body. This came as a shock because the detention facility never told Edwinās mother or his attorney that Edwin was even at the hospital.
Today, Edwin's family is facing an unimaginable tragedy. Along with overwhelming grief, they must now carry the financial burden of funeral and burial expenses while trying to support one another through this painful loss.
