i have a love-hate relationship with 'Call Me Maybe' by Carly Rae Jepsen which is to say i hate the song but I love EMOTION and I know that the existence of the latter is a direct consequence of the commercial success of the former.

i'm thinking about the idea of a fully improvised movie. the fully improvised album is a concept but something about the latter feels wrong. Due to the nature of movies you would need to prepare beforehand, but i don't think that's a problem. To be functional it would probably be some experimental character study, and that in itself likely isn't seen as very commercially viable. The idea that people to some extent expect signs of quality/effort/money from a movie could be a factor. Or maybe it's just harder to simulate good conversation in an improvisational setting
