It all started with a joke about how Drew doesn’t really have any trademark accessories aside from roses and now he’s stolen Conway’s glasses! Look at what you’ve done, @itstimetodrew!

It’s not Conway Day in my time zone anymore, but I didn’t want to go to bed without finishing this!
I’ve been wanting to make a Conway plushie for a long time, but I had to put the project on hold because things kept getting in the way. One of my resolutions for this year was to finally finish it, and I did it! Woohoo! <3
He came out better than I expected! Given that I have very little experience with sewing and had to struggle to find the right materials (hence why he’s not wearing his official clothes… I couldn’t find any fabric in those colors :c).

I was really impressed by this costume. TT. I painted it because I thought drawing was the best enjoying way! More than I expected, pink was a great match for Kouhei!! :DD My eyes are happy. I think he is a fascinating character if he is a coordinator. I'm so happy to draw it. Thanks!
This is my drawing on September 30th :D It's a little messy because I gathered my favorite parts together. I would like to draw Kouhei in other characters ’ clothes when I finish my works!!

Conway’s Pokémon wanted to give him a little wake-up surprise this year. ♥
I wanted to include his whole team but it would’ve looked way too crowded, so have Shuckle starring in the role of the muffin-bearer plus two off-screen pals!

I was rewatching some old Johto eps and look who showed up!!!11 :O
Nah, just kidding! This was just the result of a random thought I had the other day: “How would the characters we know and love from later seasons look if they had debuted in an earlier season?” And since Conway’s signature Pokémon is a Generation II Pokémon, it just seemed appropriate to draw them in that style!
For the screenshot effect, I used @tamakid‘s retro anime screenshot tutorial as a guide, but made a few changes to make it look more like an early Johto DVD rip. The Slowpoke + King’s Rock pose is actually from A Crowning Achievement, and the background from Once in a Blue Moon.
And as you can see, I also tweaked Conway’s design a little bit to match the designs of the era! For example, he has thin-rimmed glasses, a shorter, puffier jacket and the tips of his hair are spiky instead of round (plus, his hair doesn’t cover his ears). But since some things never change, he’s still wearing his shirt tucked into those high-waisted nerdy jeans, and the sandals are there too even if you can’t see them!
Here comes the Pink Menace!
This year I bring you another Coordinator Conway outfit! This time is Slowking-themed. :D
I’d like to think that his performances with Slowking would start very whimsical, but then they’d take a sharp turn and become very ominous and kinda creepy. But even though that’s his trademark, he’d always manage to find a way to catch the audience off-guard!
(By the way, he didn’t get a haircut for this, his hair is just braided to the back!)
And here’s the Slowking outfit reference sheet! This one was a little trickier to design than the Dusknoir one, but I’m really happy with it! (And now you know who helped him with the hairstyle~)
The original concept was loosely inspired by Bert’s suit in the Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious scene from Mary Poppins. In fact, the jacket was going to be all white and red stripes, but it didn’t look very Slowking-y to me so I redesigned it completely.
Also, he was going to have a cane as the accessory, but my friend @ephemeralsong suggested an umbrella instead and it looks so much better! Thanks for the tip, Guille!

Can you believe Conway debuted ten years ago today!? October 4th, 2007!
So in honor of this day, I wanted to draw the scene when Dawn holds his hand after they win their first Tag Battle together and he gets all flustered since it’s one of my favorites. ♥
It’s getting a little chilly so I’m letting Conway borrow my favorite hoodie ☆
I love all combinations(couples), but among them, I like Paul and Dawn best! This is my picture on August 10th. :D
When I first heard that 강평(Kouhei’s Korean name) called Conway in English, I had no choice but to imagine : Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - PONPONPON ( LINK : https://youtu.be/yzC4hFK5P3g ). Because a part of this song is “ponpon waywayway” !! Isn't the spelling similar? So I drew it before. I love this drawing~!
