And to close out a perfectly imperfect summer, I took a 3 min road trip to Garner,NC for and amazing shoot on some railroad tracks. I was going for a southern belle meets bohemian chic feel. Enjoy this y'all's because I rarely wear dresses 😂. More pics to come! Sincerely, Deidra Marie
Other side of the tracks Got some serious vitamin D and discovered some beautiful rustic locations hiding away in Garner, NC. NC is full of precious scenic treasures and I can't believe I am just now exploring. Clearly, I work to much. All photo cred goes to hubby who made me look stunning! A hidden talent of his that I discovered very late in the marriage. I was going for a boho chic look. I love the bohemian look and wish I could dress like this all the time but the reality is that there is no way the office I work in would allow that. I'm obsessed with the color white and light airy fabrics like cotton and linen. Yeah yeah I know, linen is wrinkle city but I can't help but buy at least one piece every summer. The hubby and I got a photoshoot with the mayor and company (the Po Po) of Henderson NC last weekend. How random is that!? I gotta say, with the negativity swirling around about the cops and the black community, I was able to snap a couple of pics of hubby and a few other people of the community bonding and coexisting in peace. So glad the Mayor was able to come out and support our churches I❤️Henderson festival! We were so grateful to be able serve some good food, provide clothing and health services to the people of Henderson! God is good and we are here to bless others so Im glad our church was able to be a blessing! Cousins Day 2015
So guys, while in Saint Augustine we got to hit up the beach. Sadly our beach adventure was all of 15 minutes as a storm swept in shortly after arriving. Clearly it was not meant to be 😒 . Sadly I think this is our last beach outing till next December. It’s bittersweet.

Florida Vacay Part 2 Saturday dinner was at O.C. Whites. Check out scoring for this hot spot below: Customer Service: 5.5 Environment/Atmosphere: 8 Location: 8 Food: 9 Overall Score: 8 I absolutely love the location of this restaurant. It was located in the heart of Downtown Saint Augustine and rest amongst many historical landmarks. The roads were a bit narrow, it was crowded and very difficult to find a park but that is to be expected with a hip location like this. Unfortunately, the customer service was awful! Our hostess was great but our waiter was horrible. He never gave us our bread or refills and we felt very rushed. He practically ignored us the whole time! I couldn't tell you his name because he wasn't around much for us to get to know it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though as the food was DELICIOUS! Great fresh Mahi and perfectly breaded jumbo shrimp and homemake tarter sauce. I recommend this location but I suggest coming at more low key time of day to guarantee the top notch customer service!
Florida Vacay Part 1
Check out our weekend digs! Not to shabby huh? The condo was on an amazing golf course resort in Saint Augustine, Florida. It was clearly enough space for two….thousand people. 😂 next time we shall bring another couple for the heck of it!

The customer service was amaze balls! The front desk representatives were friendly and let us check in about 4 hours early! They had a ginormous pool, workout center, tennis court and volleyball court! It was peaceful, quiet and a very relaxed and safe environment. We recommend this resort for a family of any size or as a romantic getaway for 2!
Photoshoot Part 1 When in doubt grab your husband and drag him out to a random location in 95 degree weather to snap shots of you for no good reason. 😂 ahh the joys of marriage. As payback I'm to watch him play 18 holes in 90 degree weather tomorrow!
Adventures at the Lennox Mall Atlanta, GA To ease my sweet tooth we made a special visit to Sprinkles. I was on my best behavior and ordered a water on the rocks. How fitting that my outfit matched Sprinkles to a tee. Charlie helped a man whose car was broke down and we ran into Charlie's cousin Bubba. All in all I've come to the conclusion that there is no way to cover the whole Lennox Mall in an hour. If your ever in the great state of GA please set aside half the day for your mall visit. 2015 PRODUCT ROUND UP
For those who are in the market for some new products or are trying to change up your hair routine, here are my product staples. These are the products I’ve been loving lately and some of them are the hair products I just can’t live without. All these products work in a way that my hair preserves moisture and provides me with bomb curls or ginormous hair.
Giovanni’s Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Conditioner
This leave in conditioner is hair crack! After shampooing my hair can be really tangles and dry but this product has soooo much slip it’s ridiculous! I love love love this stuff. It leaves my curls moist and locks in moisture for days! That’s right, I said it; it locks in moisture for days. It makes detangling a whole lot easier too. If you need a leave in with some slip and usually do the L.O.C. Method or the L.C. Method, I suggest this leave-in. It will not disappoint!
Agadir Argan Oil Voluminzing Styling & Sculpting Gel
This stuff right here is EVERYTHING! Once I got the hang of how to use the stuff it was smooth sailing! A little goes a long ways with this product. I often use this for a fluffy twist out or braid out. I’m not keen on using this for wash n go’s. I don’t wear too many wash n go’s but when I do this product will not do. It’s a bit heavy for my wash n go’s but for stretched styles this stuff works perfectly. I wouldn’t recommend this for laying down edges as it can leave the tender hairs near your nape a bit crunchy and weak but other than that this product is AWESOME!
Organix renewing Argan oil of Morocco Intense Moisturizing Treatment
This is by far my favorite deep treatment! After many years of using heavy oiled down conditioners, I’ve finally given this conditioner a try and it has light oil (Argan Oil) with lots of slip. My hair is somewhat fine so it does not respond well to heavy products. I find my hair behaves better with lighter weight products that provide maximum moisture. This product falls under that category. It smells amazeballs too! I highly recommend this deep treatment if your hair is thirsty but cannot handle to many heavy products at a time.
Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil Shampoo
I did no-poo for years but thought I’d revisit the idea of shampoo again after I realized ACV wasn’t getting all the build up like I thought. This shampoo does it exactly what I need it to do. I cleansing my hair with one application and does not dry it out or tangle my hair as much as other shampoos. My fine hair can’t take shampoo but I knew I needed something that would get my scalp clean but still keep my strands protected. I use to use the Phytospecific Shampoo they discontinued this line at Sephora then reintroduced it back to Sephora with significantly higher pricing! Smh. I just can’t pay $40.00 bucks for a 6oz. shampoo tube. I JUST CAN’T.
Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner
I love this as a leave in and as a regular conditioner. The fact that it is a two in one is great, but most importantly this conditioner/leave-in has a lot of slip. I use this in between wash days, as a co-wash, as a leave-in, as conditioner, to mop my floors and cook with….LOL j/k. But for real this stuff is multi-purpose! By far a holy grail and a product I refuse to live without!
As I Am Coconut CoWash Cleansing Conditioner
I like this stuff for in between washes for when my scalp is dirty and to dirty for a light Shea Moisture conditioner. This stuff gets the scalp and hair super clean without the tangles and dryness. It’s not my ultimate favorite product and I’m not in love with it but I am in like with it. I’ll keep it around for a bit longer until something better comes along. Yeah, don’t judge me; I’m one of those product junkies. LOL
100% Raw Unrefined Coconut Oil, 100% Raw Unrefined Jojoba Oil, 100% Raw Avocado Oil, 100% Raw Unrefined Apricot Oil, 100% Raw Unrefined Jamaican Black Castor Oil
What can I say, I love oils. These oils are used in different ways in my routine for the most part but I love them all the same. I use them for pre-pooing, hot oil treatments, sealing ends, for skin, for cooking (Coconut Oil) These oils are the ultimate holy grail. These are the oils I must have in stock at all times. Overall, I must have the coconut oil in stock ALL THE TIME. It is my hair crack and keeps my hair shiny, strong and resistant against the elements.
