maybe i was made for loving things. maybe that's what life is all about.
“Someone can be madly in love with you and still not be ready. They can love you in a way you have never been loved and still not join you on the bridge. And whatever their reasons you must leave. Because you never ever have to inspire anyone to meet you on the bridge. You never ever have to convince someone to do the work to be ready. There is more extraordinary love, more love that you have never seen, out here in this wide and wild universe. And there is the love that will be ready.”
— Nayyirah Waheed
I hope you come into the love you deserve. I hope you drink it in full, devour the entire plate. I hope you find peace in the war you fight with yourself. I hope you know you are worth it all.
i pray you heal from things no one ever apologized for
Sometimes I feel like I’m only meant for myself
The moment I found comfort in my loneliness was the movement I stopped trying to be someone else.

This is also me pretty much.
I do the second one a lot
Some people cannot be what we need them to be.
You cannot make your parents be better at parenting. You cannot make your friends be better at friendships. You cannot make your colleagues, acquaintances, partner be anything other than who they are. They've ALWAYS shown you their true selves, expecting anything more for them to be, or clinging to their potential of what they're capable of doing, will only hurt you. Life is all about accepting people as they are rather than how they should be or could be. It is more peaceful when we accept people based on their face value and respond accordingly. This is easier said than done, I agree, but more beneficial once learnt. Changing your view of the situation can change your relationships.
Affirmation:
I will be honest with myself about the limitations and capabilities of others. From there, I will decide if or how I want to show up in the relationships.
