Greg had only popped out briefly to collect the book he’d accidentally left by the pool yesterday afternoon but he’d somehow managed to forget his keycard. He’d phoned down to reception and had been assured that someone would be up straight away to unlock his room but it had been at least 15 minutes and he was still waiting when he heard the clicking of high heels approaching down the hall.Â
“Don’t mind me” he told the person walking towards him who he was certain was not from reception. “I just forgot my key. Although if someone from reception doesn’t appear soon I might need someone to take pity on me and give me shelter” he teased with a grin.
It felt like it’d been years since Gia had this much free time. Yet she was determined to keep some things consistent. So she grabbed her water bottle, changed into a matching leggings and sports bra set, and headed out.Â
That’s when she saw him. There was something about his voice that made her stop. “Well who would I be if I just left you out here?” She asked. “I could keep you company if you’d like. It could make the time go by faster.”
