there’s no point in trying to perform in an empty auditorium and I get more attention on my other blogs anyway

I saw this image of concept art for Rhodonite a week ago and there was a little bit of her components exposed and I decided to come up with a potential design for the pearl and while I was at it I decided to take a whack at trying to come up with Morganites design too.

I’m quite satisfied with these designs it was still a pain to figure out how I was gonna digitalize this without Pixlr Editor cause that site is still not acting right, but thankfully I got the color palettes figured out before I started digitalizing these two.

So, i’m currently working on artstyle improvement and how i can do it. I did a few comparisons with other people’s art and found out that my lineart is somewhat rough. So, i asked one of my artsy friends their pen settings, and i’m testing it. So, u drew a picture of Strawberry Quartz using these pen settings. Obviously, i need to work on it. What do you guys think?

The last few at-home animations I’ve done had been a little bit flat. Despite really liking the motions I did on the Red Spinel stuff, they were kinda flat. Just front-on camera angle. I wanted to do something a little bit more adventurous with the camera in this one.

I used Halite, @joe-sparrow‘s gemsona. She is a cutie pie.

I know I’m late with this bUT it needed to be in comic form! Background: What’s their story? Who are they? What’s their personality? She was created on Homeworld to do regular Sphalerite duties but shocked others for emerging off colored. Despite this, she was determined to show her surperiors that she was worth something over being shattered. They allowed it, only giving her side jobs for lesser gems but she took pride in doing her best. When the Rebellion occurred, she was sent as “extra muscle” as Homeworld was getting desperate. While in battle, her physical form got badly damaged and got poofed, her gem falling into a nearby river that led to a ravine. She was washed down a ways and got lodged in some mud, keeping her from reforming. Decades passed, and the water rose enough to wash her out. Once she reformed, she searched for her comrades and tried to get back home. Realizing that they weren’t coming back for her, she half-heartedly felt relieved and terrified, eventually coming to appreciate the Earth for what it was and finding refuge in the animals there. I had to reuse an old pic for the last panel cuz I couldn’t think of anything for the background. Plus backgrounds are harrrd!

Obsidian

I chose obsidian because when Lava is cooled with water it begins to form Obsidian, and ya know, Ruby (Fire/Lava) + Lapis (Water)= Obsidian (Cooled Lava)
