For me Sutartines create a space for repetition, and to me repetition creates space for time to end. Like in minimalist music. When I listen to them, a collapse of a beginning or end seems to take place. A very similar thing that happens with my perception of time. Ever expanding, feeding life in the here and now in the most penetrating way, never really moving as most of us perceive it to. Instead continuously vibrating giving birth to all and nothing out of the deep well of stillness. Still, when observed on a larger and more distant scale, seen as forming cycles, such as the cycle of a melody which has to begin at some point to end at another or the seasons of the year, the cycle of the moon, migration, water and human life. - Ioanna Christou
