How is your recovery going?

No longer using a wheelchair! Still in pain when I walk but it’s a huge difference from a few weeks ago. Thank you for asking. :)

How’s the baby sleeping?

Not super well, he prefers sleeping in a rocker rather than in a crib so we are still trying to do sleep training with him to get him used to the crib. He doesn’t last long. 😆 I am a very tired mama.

Are you going to stay home with him?

During my maternity leave, yes. I go back to work in December.

What’s been the biggest adjustment with the new baby?

Probably the lack of sleep! We are no longer living for ourselves, we are living for our son. Every thing we do is in careful consideration of our baby and what time he needs to be fed next. I wouldn’t change a thing though, I lived my whole life in preparation to be a mother. My baby is my greatest joy, my proudest accomplishment. I am so incredibly in love!

How’s the recovery coming along?

Slow but steady! Had one scare and had a not so fun day spent at the hospital again because of my gestational hypertension, but I’m overall doing much better. Thank you for asking. :)

Congrats on the new baby! How was the birth experience?

Thank you! I unfortunately had a complicated delivery. I have a grade three tear through the muscle from my vagina to my rectum that required surgery to repair. It took almost an hour to fix. Following surgery, I hemmoraged and developed high blood pressure with preeclampsia symptoms. It took them several hours to control the hemorrhaging. I am still recovering and can barely walk but I survived and I am so in love with my baby.
