she thinks she is weak. not strong like people say. she knows the truth. in a way she is. she is strong enough to carry on living but too weak to change her way of living. she constantly hurts. she's always in pain, and she thinks to herself, 'if i can't cut all the bad things out of my life, perhaps i should cut something else.' she grabs the blade, shimmering in the dim light. she slices and dices until her thighs look like a paint splattered canvas. she pulls the sheets over her cold, quivering body. her legs tingle. tears stream down her face. she is disgusted with herself. she hopes for change but knows she's too weak. that, she'd just proven to herself.
