After learning Deacon was nominated to be Tumblr Sexy-Man 2026 through the fourth wall, Chase and the keys did a photoshoot with Boris so he can look more sexy and majestic in a modest way to make some propaganda. Unfortunately, this was the only good photo they were able to take because Boris started to eat his arm two seconds after the flash. Due to the carnage, the photo op was ruined.

Chase originally had the sign say, “Vote now!” Or something silly, he hadn’t decided. But the picture spoke to him, so he decided to play into it more and just tell the truth.

in hindsight, "I could get rid of him today" about a teammate that is mildly annoying is an INSANE thing to say.

Notice how the camera pans up for Sayeon and low for Juni. Almost like Sayeon’s the superior. Foreshadowing…?

Caught up with Hand Jumper again, absolutely love Sayeon scaring Juni with her deduction of the current plan, and then rewinding to keep it all under wraps. I love how well the story conveys Sayeon as cunning and sly, she doesn't arbitrarily figure things out without good basis nor does she treat obvious facts as revelations. IMO Sleepacross does a good job of making Sayeon smart in a way that she clearly sees and knows things the viewer does not, but often shows her working in a way that we can really see how she came to her conclusion.

I also like the way when she's describing the plan used by the Aberrant Corps, she doesn't directly say what they're doing, she instead describes it to Juni as "what [she] would do". This not only furthers the cold calculating nature of her general thought process, but also deepens the parallels between her and Captain Han

I feel like it's become almost a running theme at this point that characters who see how hard Sayeon works softens their attitude towards her, most notably with Taeho recently offering to help her out a bit in the most recent chapter after seeing how hard she is pushing herself. It reminds me of how Jaeil primarily praises how hardworking Sayeon is, I think its mentioned 3 times throughout the story? (twice directly to her, once to the sword kid I think)

And to be fair, its a very strong trait Sayeon has, she works hard, she sets aside everything for her goal, and does not differentiate between the effects it has on others and the effects it has on herself (thinking back to how she was panicking when stabbed by sword kid, and basically mentally told herself to shut up)

idk just a cool thing I never thought much of, I'm interested to see if this idea is furthered by other characters meeting Sayeon down the line (Iseul also totally knows but probably sees far enough to realise how dangerous and/or unhealthy it is)

We all knew this already, but Sayeon really is an unreliable narrator. Taeho may have his flaws and may have not behaved in the best way in the past, but I doubt someone who tries to look out for his cell and FOR YOU TOO is “someone we trainees would be better without”??

That’s not “the right thing to do”, which what what she claims she’s doing. She just don’t like people who repeatedly challenge you and your authority that isn’t Ryujin🫩
