I have so many feelings about them.

This series destroyed me, ok? I’ve never been a big fan of Adventure Time, I liked it but I never watched all the eps or learned about the lore BUT I knew about Simon and Ice King so when I found out he was gonna be the mc I watched a 30 minutes video about the lore and started Fionna and Cake XD

This man is literally a wet cat, traumatized and tired old man. He has my whole heart.

I'm probably weird for this, but I kinda ship Simon and Fionna. I think it's because they sorta remind me of Entrapta and Hordak. An energetic younger woman and a depressed older man brought together by a similar interest. For Entrapta and Hordak it was science, for Simon and Fionna it was their mutual dissatisfaction with their lives and need for change.

Not to mention back in the original adventure time back when simon was ice king HE LITERALLY MADE A FIC ABOUT HER SIMPING FOR HIM

So clearly Simon likes Fionna to an extent (we're just gonna ignore the ice king and fin implications from that fic lol)

Honestly, it sucks that people view their relationship as familial (especially because they are both adults and Fionna doesn't really need to be taken care of)

I REALLY hope they do something about those implications from previous interactions

If they didn't want us to ship them, why did they make them narrative equals? Why would they make two grown adults who never met before they were BOTH 29+ have a father/daughter relationship. Especially when Fionna has been simping for/has kissed a Simon before.

Ask yourselves this, Is it the Simonna shippers who are weird for seeing it as a ship or is it the antis who are weird for putting a familial relationship on a pairing supported by the narrative?

and fionna just kept dreaming about an ice prince. some VARIATION OF SIMON… and obviously she’s just INTO HIM

when she referred to simon as the ice prince when they first met, i think my heart stopped

the recent episode with the winter king universe just felt like a TEASE UUUUGH i’m so hungry…

all in all, i really don’t care if fionna and our simon become canon romantically in the end. ships being canon takes the fun out of everything anyway.
