Part two, the Sally boys with claws. I had fun putting the Nocturnian glyphs on the shoulder shields. Once I realized they were squares with sets of even divisions, they were pretty straightforward to paint.
Part one, magnetized Salamanders assault terminators. I started with sallies back in COVID days, when I went back to painting models as a way to pass the time at home. Since the, how I paint them changed quite a lot. But in a real way, that's the evolution of my abilities. It's fun to see.
The bright Salamander green always goes so well with heat effects.
UNMUTE 💯 🥺
"You know the Hunra's lapdog doesn't talk, but I'll bet we can make him whimper."
agonizing over all the time you wasted or lost is useless. it’s gone now. you survived in the only way you knew how. doesn’t your survival deserve some recognition too?
like toni morrison said, “sometimes you don't survive whole, you just survive in part. but the grandeur of life is that attempt. it’s not about that solution. it is about being as fearless as one can, and behaving as beautifully as one can, under completely impossible circumstances.”
I should probably get a better photo of this but regardless, the other half of the Lord box is done. I'm curious to see how they eventually fill out this model range. More anger cavalry would be fun.
The kit for this is basically one mount body short of two whole-ass models. So I fixed it by putting Lord Avocado on a karkadrak, because sometimes the stars align and base sizes and mount sizes line up nicely across model lines!
I had to re-do the mount's armor at one point because the color didn't work. And the oil wash didn't quite click... but I'm happy with the result anyway. It was a fun conversion and green stuff fur hides a lot of sins.
In the grand tradition of custom Masters of Execution (Moe to his friends), I put this guy together from leftover parts from another kit, and some Blood Warriors bits.
This was a lot of fun and I need to do more conversions like this.
I was cleaning some stuff up for deep storage but I kept this guy out, and finally painted him. Fantastic classic metal World Eater.

So excited that I can finally share the set of Glyphs I’ve had the honor of creating for Warframe! I can't wait to see them ingame - I already know I will scream like a little girl if I ever see one in the wild!
The designs for these has been done by the amazing @brighan!
White and I do not get along so I put these off for a long time. But they're done and I'm pretty happy with them, especially the bases. The bare plastic was dull so I made some proper bases with extra forest parts.
Maybe I have a diplomatic detante with painting white now...
Needless to say I cannot fucking wait for those Exodites.
A big ol' chunk of Brutalis Dreadnought with swap-out fists. I managed to repose the legs on this a bit, even though the result is not dramatic. He's a tough one to modify- the lack of head means you can't twist the torso off-axis and redirect the focus with a change of head direction.
Still I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
Some medical boys. I enjoy the grumpy old man vibes of the first one, the tattered cloak was fun.
Just in time to be put out to pasture, I converted some of the Saturnines into Centurions using magentized STL parts. This is what I love about 40k - it's so absurd and over the top it somehow crashes back on itself to become cool again.
A Bonesinger from the last gasp of great metal models, 2007-ish probably. It's been very fun to dig up some oldies to finally paint.
