SIOBHAN; "she's here, but so gone."

Frantically making her way through the gigantic five star suite, Diamond eventually picked her room. It was a luscious set up, the woman immediately plopping into the king sized bed. “I needed this.” She whispered to herself before screeching for Siobhan to join her. “BHANNIE— get in here!”

She was about to light a cigarette when Diamond’s voice caught her attention. “Hold on!” She shouted, her eyes taking everything in as she made her way through the endless halls. It took her a while to find her friend, but when she did, she knew she’d taken the best room. “Wow,” She mused, throwing herself on the bed, next to Diamond. “Oh my God, these sheets.. they’re so soft.” Her skin felt nice against the surely expensive sheets. “I wonder how long it’ll take before you ruin them..”

“So shameless. Any good vacation has a good balance of both.”

“I guess I learned from the best.” She shrugged. “I’m surprised you’re still around? I figured you’d disappear two minutes into this trip.”

“Who else is ready to blow their trust fund?”

“Yes, I’ll be blowing my trust fund, among other things.”

“Okay everyone.” Diamond took off her shades an gave a cocky smile. “I know these suited have a lot of rooms, but I call the one with the best bed and the best bathroom. Don’t fight me on this.” And with that she walked in to inspect the place, happy the group had finally made it to their spur of the moment vacation spot.

Siobhan’s eyes followed Diamond as she made her way through the suite. Knowing there was no stopping her, she decided to go out into the large balcony instead. “Oh, Monte Carlo, how I’ve missed you.” She sighed, her eyes taking in the spectacular view. “We’re here, bitches!”

“It’s kind of a vicious cycle,” Mariana laughed, “All the couples come here because they think it’s romantic, and then it gets known as being a romantic place because all the couples come here.” She leaned back in her seat and took a sip of her coffee. “I don’t know, maybe I’m just a romantic and you’re just a cynic,” she teased.

“Okay, you’ve lost me,” she laughed, shaking her head. Siobhan was amused by Mariana’s way of explaining it, and a small part of her actually thought it made sense. “Correction,” she spoke, pointing her index finger at Mariana. “I’m a realist. I’m pretty sure you have better luck finding love in New York, than in Paris.”

Mariana sat the a table of a cafe that had an especially nice view of the Eiffel Tower. It encompassed the elegance of it any bypassed all the tourists and street vendors that set up shop near it’s base. As she gazed at it, Mariana let out a wistful sigh. “Sometime’s it’s hard to be in Paris and not feel a tad romantic,” she said wistfully to her companion. “Imagine all the great romances that happened here, real and fiction…Moulin Rouge, Anastasia…”

“I wish people would stop depicting Paris as this romantic miracle place,” she sighed, contemplating the Eiffel Tower from the comfort of her chair. Siobhan couldn’t deny its beauty, but still, she couldn’t comprehend people’s fascination with it. “Maybe it’s because I’ve been living here way too long, but I see it, and I feel nothing,” she turned her attention to Mariana, grinning smugly.

“I’m glad you know what an apple is, darling–you’d have me worried if you didn’t.” He smirked his usual, upturned way that was drenched in amusement. Did he do it on purpose? Perhaps. He didn’t not know the back of Siobhan’s head. He’d spent enough nights with his fingers curled over the back of her chair, watching her play her hand in poker, both inflating and expanding their plentiful sums given their luck of the evening. “I can’t believe you didn’t catch that,” he went on lightly, “looks like you’re not going to make the softball team after all.”  He shuffled around his pocket for his cigarette case, his fingers brushed along a few of the tiny treasures he hoarded in his pockets before he pulled out the tin; it was a magnificent piece made of pure gold and engraved with someone else’s initials. He slid one out and pointed it at Siobhan as a truce offering of sorts. “We’ll get you more,” he didn’t say by hustling, but it was there. “For the love of god and all of humanity don’t pick those back up.”

“Oh, shut up.” Siobhan was annoyed by this entire situation, but she couldn’t help but let a laugh escape her lips. She couldn’t ever stay mad at him longer than a few seconds. His presence actually made her change her mind about the entire night, because now she was sure that the outcome would be nothing less than interesting. 

Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw what was hidden inside his pocket. The small case she recognized all too well. Instead of taking what he was offering, Siobhan decided to snatch the entire case away. “No, you’ll get yourself more. These are now mine,” she declared, tucking the case away inside her purse. “I’m sure you’ll steal some later, among other things.”

A sigh of relief came from Diamond as Amelie presented a cigarette to her, she’d not smoked since arriving at the airport and in truth there was nothing like a French cigarette. She threw Siobhan the empty pack and brought the stick to her lips as she found a stray lighter on the table to light it with. She took an inhale and breathed out smoke. “To answer your questions— I’m not sure, I kind of freaked out and put my life on hiatus for this.”

Amelie finished her own ciagarette, putting it out in a nearby piece of china; centuries old, not that she cared. “You know we have a place for you here,” she said. “Lately we have only been using it as a spare room for party girls who can’t hold their liquor and men who get too clingy during the night. I suppose we can sacrifice the space.” It would be nice to have their friend back again, and neither could deny what made this place so appealing was that there was a third bedroom for when their nomadic friend came to visit.

Siobhan chuckled at the memory of everything that had gone down in their apartment lately. You’d think they would take better care of it, given how much it was worth, but the girls just didn’t care. “Yes, and you can join in on the fun. It’s been too long since we’ve all been in the same place at once,” she spoke before lighting her cigarette. “Which reminds me, we need to start planning our next vacation.”

“Drinking. Dancing. Pretty girls and handsome boys,” she said with a small chuckle; there were plenty of those last two everywhere in Paris, it had been one of the first things that Maddie had noticed. “There is? I haven’t seen any but then again, I’m so used to just being invited to parties, never considered the fact that I’d actually have to start searching for them again.” At the other girl’s last words, a sweet smirk played on her lips. “Of course. A girl can only dream that’s how the night end and that it’s not a freak that you end up with.” Maddie extends a hand out to the other girl. “I’m Madeline Daniels.”

“Well, you have the whole foreign girl thing going for you and these idiots love that,” she chuckled, taking a look at the locals who frequented the place. “So you’ll be just fine,” Siobhan assured before giving her a handshake. “Siobhan. Nice to meet you,” she introduce herself, intentionally omitting her surname, a habit she’d developed throughout the years. ¨So, where are you from?” she inquired, before speaking again. “Wait-- let me guess, it’s either New York or Los Angeles?”

“да, папа.” Sasha states harshly into the phone. His father had called to ask about his quest to find a wife in Paris, and he was almost ready to explode with anger. “Мне просто нужно больше времени” he says through gritted teeth. “I can practically feel you eavesdropping.” he states,turning towards the person standing behind him. “Do you even know Russian?”

After a long day of sketching and watching Les Vacances de l'amour re-runs, Siobhan decided to step outside for a much needed cigarette. The rays of sunlight glistening upon her golden hair felt amazing, so she decided to turn her five minute smoking break into a walk. She had been minding her own business, per usual, when a particular accent caught her interest. Siobhan’s Russian comprehension was practically non-existent, yet she couldn’t stop listening. Sure, she wasn’t trying to be subtle, but having him suddenly turn around to face her made her jumpy. “Nope,” she smirked. “But I don't need to be an expert to tell you definitely need a drink.”

He’d just barely caught the last of her words as he filed into his seat, not focusing too much on the woman beside him till she’d questioned his behavior. It was his preferred poison, something about the taste suiting his palette, though it could easily have been due to his father’s own preferences. Whiskey was what the older Markus male had had each evening, using the amber liquid to take the edge off once he’d gotten home, a habit Calen had slowly developed. “Long day at the office,” he mustered, though not entirely untrue. He glanced in her direction now, asking in the same tone she had, “what is it you can’t do today?”

Siobhan’s eyebrows moved upwards when he answered. It sounded a little too predictable, but she had to remind herself that she lived in Paris, and long days at the office weren’t something out of the norm. Still, she wondered if there was more to it, but quickly brushed it off when she heard the next set of words that came out of his mouth. “What?” she blurted out, and then remember what she had just muttered without realizing someone was listening. “Oh, it’s nothing. Family business. Wouldn’t want to bore you with the details, especially after your long day at the office,” she chuckled, finishing her watered down whiskey. “What is it that you do?”

Warm beneath a soft layer of fur, Adrian made his way down the lit streets of Paris. The coat was his, but it wasn’t always. He’d ‘stolen’ it from a coat room and would surely pass it right off to the next woman who commented on it. He didn’t even know what type of fur the coat was made out of, but it was soft as fuck. He tossed an apple up as he walked and wherever his thumb touched–he’d take a bite. The apple wasn’t always his either and he figured it wasn’t always the homeless man’s he swiped it from as well. If anyone asked him why he stole it he’d tell them he was simply doing God’s work. He didn’t strike him down yet, so He either didn’t exist or gave no shits. He shuffled into a line in front of his destination; a haughty club that he was no stranger to. He tossed up his apple again, ready to take another bite once it was back in his hands. He held out his empty palm, ready to once again catch the fruit…however, instead of landing, it bounced off of the head of the person standing in front of him. “Oops,” he breathed, eyeing the apple as it now rolled around the feet of the people standing around.

Siobhan was no stranger to being late everywhere, or just not showing up at all, and the fact that she was now stuck in a stupid line made her reconsider even showing up on the first place. A few months had passed since she last stepped foot into a proper club. Had she chosen to go to her usual bar, she’d already be comfortably sipping on a drink, probably persuading a stranger to buy her more. If we were going to be honest, the line wasn’t even that long, but her patience couldn’t even handle waiting five minutes.

Reaching for her purse, she pulled out a pack of cigarettes. “Merde,” she muttered, realizing it was halfway empty. Not enough to last the entire night. She was about to put them back in her purse when she suddenly felt something hit her hard on the head, making her lose her grip on the pack. Her reflexes made her turn around to look at her prime suspect, before eyeing her cigarettes scattered on the floor.. and an apple. “An apple? Really?” she barked, sure that he’d done it on purpose.

Jet lag was a bitch, and attending a party that would no doubt go late into the night was not the cure, but she had fared worse. Pouring herself another shot of bourbon, she saw someone approach; whether or not they came for her or the alcohol mattered little. What really mattered was the restlessness settling in her veins, the need to drive it out with more than a little liquid courage and some company. She tilted the bottle of bronze liquid towards the other with an easy smile. “A drink’s much better with company, don’t you think?”

Another day, another party. Siobhan had been forcing herself out of the comfort of her apartment this week in hopes of getting much needed inspiration. All her attempts at painting had turned into an epic mess, and it had been utterly frustrating. Glancing her half-empty glass of whiskey, she realized that was exactly what she needed. And she needed more. Her eyes scanned the room, recognizing a few faces and mentally rolling her eyes at some. A smile formed on her lips when she saw what was on Lorelei’s hand. “Truer words were never spoken,” she strongly agreed. Company was definitely what she needed at the moment.

Reaching out for her second Tom Collins, Maddie took a pensive sip as she gazed over at her companion, as if sizing them up for her next question. Her big green eyes seemed so doe-like a full of innocence that it was almost impossible to see that glint of risk in them. “The real question is, where does a girl go out and party at around here? I’m terribly new around here and honestly don’t want to be holed up in my apartment for the weekend.”

“That depends on what you’re into,” she advised, trying to guess what that would be. If she were to judge by her looks, she wouldn’t even bother giving her any options. “but, you’re in Paris, there’s a party in every corner.” she assured, taking a sip of her martini. “Just step out of that apartment and let yourself go. Hell, you might even end up holed up in another person’s apartment. If you know what I mean.”
