To be honest, there is a very distinct feel between Scandinavia and the rest of Europe, despite the similarities between Oslo and a few other tourist-hotspot/ bucket-list cities.
It’s not very romantic, like Paris, or Rome. But there is such a sweetness about it, such a beautiful child-like innocence that just makes you get gooey on the inside.
Truthfully, I believe everyone has something to learn when they visit another country (no matter how many times they’ve been).
But America it seems, as a whole, has always had a very different feel than our neighboring continent. I very rarely find myself becoming bored with something new to do, and everything in Oslo seems like a familiar song sung in an entirely different key. Whether you’re visiting reindeer herds in the northern countryside, or spending your time traversing through hundreds of stores in downtown Oslo, the modern and old-world mix is something you can’t quite replicate anywhere else, and the whole of Norway is an experience I wouldn’t recommend missing out on.
