A blazing ball of fire hurls towards the ground, hitting the earth and causing a wave of dirt to erupt from the ground. Several more hit the ground near the same area, all aiming for one person: Leptos. Leptos dives out of the way as a fireball nearly hits him. The explosion causes Leptos to fly through the air farther than intended, and he hits the ground with a thud. As he looks where the fireballs are coming from, he notices a group of men in long cloaks all in a line facing him. He watches as they each conjure up their own fireballs. "That must be where they are coming from!" he thinks to himself, diving and rolling out of the way of more balls. He draws both his swords and charges at the group of mages, changing course only to avoid the incoming projectiles. Right as he nears the mages, a group of Orc warriors jump up and out from a trench, causing Leptos to stop and access the numbers. A good 15 of them, and all carrying a rather large weapon. He looks behind him, noticing he's alone against them. "Not the best situation to be in..." he thinks to himself, going into a defensive stance as they all charge at him. The first Orc comes, slamming a large club in the dirt where Leptos once stood. The next moment, the orc is lying on the ground bleeding out, two stab marks where his eyes should be. The rest finally start showing up, five surrounding Leptos. Two rush forward, swinging their clubs, which Leptos avoids by waiting until the last second, then dropping to the ground as the Orcs' clubs hit eachother where they would have connected with Leptos's body. The force of the swings cause the weapons to break and splinter, and stunning the Orcs momentarily. Leptos takes this moment to spread both his arms and shove a sword through both of the orcs' chests, puncturing their hearts and dropping them to the ground. Leptos pulls his swords out just in time as an Orc with a very large broadsword swings at him. He rolls out of the way, but not before receiving a gash on his back, causing a fairly large amount of blood to begin falling out of him. Leptos grunts and kneels on the ground for a moment, facing the orc. Another comes from behind him, weilding the same weapon. Both Orcs swing at Leptos, one swinging downwards to where Leptos kneels, and one swinging above Leptos, in case he tries to jump out of the way. With a grunt, Leptos pushes himself forward with his feet, making sure to stay low enough for both Orcs to miss. As he rushes forward, he shoves both swords out in front of him, and when he can no longer run forward, he looks up at the Orc, who has now been impaled by the swords. The Orc's sword drops to the ground, and soon, the Orc himself falls, Leptos pulling out his swords and turning around to face the other Orc. He tosses his sword forward with great speed, the Sword plunging itself into the Orc's skull. For a moment, the Orc does nothing, blinking. Then he reaches up and grabs hold of the sword, roaring with pain as he pulls it out, and the second it's out, he falls to the ground, dead. Leptos grunts as the loss of blood begins to take it's effect on him, causing him to be slower than usual. He grabs his sword and turns to face the other orcs, who have taken positions infront of him. "10 of them left." he grunts, knowing he won't survive them in his current condition. He charges forward, both swords in hand, right as a Fireball hits the crowd of Orcs, tossing their bodies all over the landscaping, along with Leptos, who lands on his back at the ground with a thud. He attempts to get up, but his body just won't do it. The lack of blood finally having gotten to him. He looks up at the sky, admiring the night and all of it's twinkling stars. Eternal Bliss. His peace is interrupted as a large Fireball can be seen coming straight at him from the sky. Leptos just lays there, accepting fate, knowing it'd be better to die there enjoying the moment rather than panic and attempt to survive even though he knows he won't. The fireball hits the ground where Leptos lays, exploding the ground and tossing it everywhere. Leptos feels the heat of the fireball reach his body, and he just lays there smiling, until finally a special kind of darkness washes over him, enveloping him in a wave of cold.
Leptos wakes up, squinting at the sun as it smites him with it's bright rays. He looks around, noticing his campfire has gone out. He shivers slightly, oddly cold despite the sun being high in the sky. Leptos gets up, stretching and then packing up camp, leaving the sticks, leftover grass, and stone rocks there. He sighs, stomach rumbling. "If only I could find a nice inn, then I could eat." he mumbles, tossing the bamboo stick over his shoulder and continueing on the dirty road. Several hours pass of non-stop walking until he finally spots a small little town off in the distance. He quickens his pace, his stomach reminding him of what he needs most. After an hour more, he reaches the village of Londolo. "What a strange name." Leptos says outloud. He walks to the nearest building, which just happens to be a Tavern. As he walks in, he gets a few stares. He looks down at his clothing and realizes why people are staring. He's wearing a pure white wool shirt, with a rip in the front that goes down his chest and stops just above his stomach. He's also wearing dark brown trousers, which are atleast in good shape, which can't be said the same for his other items. He walks up to the counter, ignoring the several stares. "I would like a loaf of bread please." Leptos says to the woman at the counter. The lady nods and brings him bread very quickly, slightly scared of the man before her. "Thank you." Leptos says, paying her 3 gold coins, which she gladly takes and puts it away. Leptos sits down at the counter and sets his stick down next to him. He takes his bag and puts the remainder of his gold in his pocket, totaling to 17 gold. He sighs as he takes the bread and begins chewing on it whole, his stomach replying with satisfaction. He puts his bag on the back of his chair, returning back to his bread. What he didn't know however, was that the town had it's own little thief. Morte' was the thief's name, and he was known to steal from people every now and again. What he did with the money, no one knew. No one in town would give him anything, and since they could never prove him guilty of stealing because he was always poor, then they couldn't kill him, therefor he could roam the town free. Well, Morte' noticed the traveler enter the inn, and he stepped right into action. Looking around quickly and finding that no one was watching, he got up and went behind the traveler's seat, reaching up to steal the bag. Leptos feels the chair move slightly, and he looks back to see Morte' trying to steal his bag. He grabs his stick and jabs Morte' backwards, forcing him onto the ground. "Get away from my things." Leptos commands in a booming voice, causing everyone to look over. Morte' looks around at all the attention and he quickly scrambles out of the inn, scared to death of what they'd all do to him if he had stayed. Leptos turns back around and continues eating. When he gets halfway through, he puts the half a loaf of bread into his backpack for later. He refills his water flasks for another gold, leaving him at 16. He gets up and walks out of the inn, and he is immediately confronted by a knife to his throat and pulled into an alleyway. "Think you can get away from me? Overpower me?" Morte' asks angrily, kicking Leptos's supplies away. "Well we'll see about that!" Morte' says, laughing as he sticks his free hand into Leptos's pocket of gold. Leptos quickly brings his fist around, punching Morte' in the side before he can bother to move the knife to slice his throat. "And did you think you were going to steal from me?" Sighs Leptos, kicking Morte' backwards into the dirt. Morte' gets up and charges at Leptos, ducking as Leptos swings his fist again, avoiding it. Morte' shoves the knife into Leptos's stomach, and Leptos growls and grabs hold of Morte' by the throat. Leptos lifts Morte' off the ground, choking him with one hand, as he uses his other hand to pull the knife out. Leptos takes the knife and stabs Morte' in the leg, causing Morte' to groan and lose more breath. "Next time you stab someone, try to kill them. Don't try to injure them." Leptos suggests, groaning at his new wound. He tosses Morte' to the dirt right before he passes out. Morte' quickly gasps for air, pulling the knife out of his leg when he manages to do so. Leptos grabs his things and goes back into the inn, talking to the lady and ordering a room for the night, handing her 5 gold, leaving him at 11 gold left. Morte' walks up to the lady at the counter and winks. "Hey lassy. I am in need of a room to spend my long, boring nights. But feel free to come and join me, I could use the company." he says. The lady rolls her eyes at him. Morte' hands her 5 gold. "You'll get an extra 2 for yourself if you come join me tonight." Morte' says, but the lady takes the 5 gold and shakes her head. "That's alright, you can keep that for your other women." she says, walking away. Morte' shrugs and heads up to his room, which is right across from Leptos's. After spending the 5 gold, Morte' only has 5 gold left. Immediately as he enters his room, he goes and begins patching up his leg to stop the bleeding, the pain of it finally hitting him hard. Meanwhile, Leptos sits on his bed, his wound all patched up. Within an hour of staring up at the roof, he falls asleep, his usually hyper active mind at rest. Morte' stays up longer downstairs, flirting with the women to try and get atleast one to join him in bed tonight. After failing miserably, he goes back to his room and lays down, falling asleep within seconds.
