~🐺~ Mimira’s expressions could only be described as slight horror at the thought of Liza, Kayla and Yuuki having grown up together, not that she didn’t think they were both great girls but…she liked Cross Academy. She didn’t want to see it as ruble.“A little annoyed with the fact that my daughter didn’t warn me this was coming–” Mimira told him, her annoyed tone clear for a moment before she got a friendly smile on her face and said. “At least your someone I know and can stand though, this could have turned out worse for both of us.”
It had been years since Mimira herself had been on anything that could even remotely be called a date, after her husband when she was…probably about the age Toga was now. He’d lived for nearly 45 years after they married, since then there had been a couple of other hunter she’d been interest in but it’d never really gotten farther than an innocent relationship before she’d cut it off and leave for some long term mission of whatever. She actually hadn’t really had anything like that in maybe…40 years?
⊰ ♚ ⊱—; “Well,” he laughed. “You’re right– it could be worse. They could have set you up with Miyagawa instead. Hell, I wouldn’t wish that shit on my worst enemy. Maybe.” Another sip of ice water. This so wasn’t his style, dating and all. He didn’t think it was Mimira’s either, since she had been very close with her husband and stayed out of a serious relationship since his death. If he were immortal like herself, they probably would still be together.
Without realizing it, Toga’s finger tapped nervously upon the table. If he was completely honest with himself, he sort of did like Mimi. She was strong and smart and very beautiful– oh but what would Kaien do to him if he knew that? It would end one of two was: He’d rejoice– err, ‘ship it’, as Kayla would say, or go into ‘super big brother mode’ and kick his ass for being interested in her. yolo. “And thanks– I can stand you too.” …He’s not great with this stuff, okay?
A visible shudder went through Mimira when he said that, honestly even the thought creeped her out and gave her a bit of a loathing chill. She was glade for how positive she was that that would never happen, Alessea at least knew how much she truly disliked him--she wouldn’t have let that happen.
“Oh don’t even joke that--I probably would have sneaked out the back door and faked my death.”
Though she had played nice with the President over the years, for the most part it was so that she could avoid being the center of his attention like her elder brother way. And then later on? It was so that she could get updates on the well being of Eva and Elizabeth, even if she hadn’t been able to find out their location for him in the long run--and later had been lied to about Eva’s status.
“Eh, yeah--and thanks.”
Really how do you even date these days? Mimi had seen a few sappy movies on movie nights with Alessea--but other than that she wasn’t really sure. Oh well, she had gotten through the much harder than this.
“So, how are you liking teaching at Cross Academy? From what I’ve seen of those day class girls I’m sure it’s got to be interesting getting through your Day Class’.”
idek I wanted to do Mimi/Toga things, then I wanted to do Rinji/Addie things and then this just pooped itself outta my movie maker. I think Mimi is just feeling sad and lonely today.

“Ano- You do realize that i know you are following me, right?”
~🐺~
“Well, I wasn't really trying to hide myself so I'd be a bit concerned about you being able to keep yourself safe if you hadn't noticed me, Yuuki.”
Even though she was only the girls Aunt, there was no mistaking the 'Mom Tone' in what she was saying. But seeing as she was a mother herself more than once over the years Mom Tone wasn't something new to her in the least. Something that Yuuki's adoptive cousin could attest to with how often she heard it.
will you teach me how to love again?
Starter Call!
remedialmelody:
⊰ ♛ ⊱—; “There’s something wrong with me. Everyone’s in love and I’m just… I’m worthless. Too shy. Too stupid. I’m too fucked up. I’m fucking unlovable.”
~🐺~ "Elizabeth..."Mimira wasn't exactly sure what to say to make her niece feel better, dismissing what she'd said seemed like a bad option. But acknowledging it as true? Out of the question, because it wasn't true. "You know that's not true, even if it may not feel like it sometimes you have plenty of people who love you. And you'll find someone, and when you do you'll realize how silly it was to think you needed to rush falling in love. Its something that everyone has to do in their own time, and it isn't always something you find right away."
Mimi decided that she was slightly upset with her niece, but that she’d stay and have dinner with Toga anyway. He wasn’t really that bad after all, and even if it was meant to be a blind date she could still just treat it as a dinner with a friend; after all she did considering them friends. And she hoped for Elizabeth, Kayla and Toga’s sake that Kaien didn’t get word of this.
"It has–“ Mimi said, noting it as the waitress walked away well mumbling something about giving them a minute to talk and that she’d be back. ”–and I have to say that I’m surprised to see you again under this circumstance. Either Elizabeth and Kayla were really bored or they think were really lonely.“ The fact that she never really ever had been on a date, and hadn’t allowed herself to be ‘courted’ in earlier years before dating though since her husband died may be their reason for thinking so with her.
⊰ ♚ ⊱—; “They’re just screwin’ with us. They’re the ones calling this a blind date,” he groaned. “We don’t have to treat it that way.” An awkward silence passed– just… how long had it been since Toga did something like this? Serina was his first serious girlfriend… and since she’d died a few years back, Toga didn’t even really consider going out with anyone again. It just… didn’t seem right to him.
But like he just told Mimira: they didn’t have to treat it like a date. Dinner with a friend. That’s all it was. Innocent. Innocent and pure as newly fallen snow on Christmas Eve. Nothing romantic-al implied whatsoever. The male chuckled to break some of the tension. “Those damn kids. I can only imagine what sort of trouble those two would have gotten into had they been raised together…” He failed to look up at the woman adjacent to him and took a skip of his ice water. “How are you, anyway?”
~🐺~ Mimira's expressions could only be described as slight horror at the thought of Liza, Kayla and Yuuki having grown up together, not that she didn't think they were both great girls but...she liked Cross Academy. *only stealthily climbs down from the tree to get cigarettes*
"Get back in the tree! Your gonna compromise out hiding position!" Mimira whisper yelled.
"Adelina." It had taken Mimi more time than she'd wanted to find the former Association President, but she figured that if anyone would be willing to help her with the situation involving Elizabeth without getting Kaien involved? It would be her. "I need your help, its about Elizabeth."
♛━» “Elizabeth?” Adelina had always cared for Mimira– she loved everyone in the Cross family, but she knew because of her previous position as president, hardly anyone wanted to be near her. She figured Mimira had to be very desperate to approach her, then. “Mimira…. What’s happened?”
Mimira wasn't sure how to explain really, she'd managed to get away from her after their encounter and Alessea was safe for now. Infact, Adelina could probably sense her a couple of blocks away. "Shigeo has her under his control, I dont--I don't know exactly how he's doing it but I need help. I've been trying to figure out a way to break his hold on my own well I searched for you, but I've been having no luck in finding anything able to help me."
Mimira’s eyes narrowed at what Elizabeth said, what the president had done to this girl? How he had twisted her brothers daughter into this ruthless person with seemingly no will to fight his orders? It disgusted her, and she would have told her brother about it a long time ago if she didn’t think it would break him. And so she was trying to find a way to break the hold on her first. But if he threatened Alessea? If she had to chose between letting her daughter be taken and Kaien hating her for what she may have to do to Elizabeth in order to keep her own daughter safe? She was willing to let her brother hate her. As long as it meant that Alessea would be safe.
“I think before we go any further we should get a few things clear. My life does not belong that sorry excuse of a man Shigeo Miyagawa. I am loyal to the association, to the men and woman who fight to protect humans, not that cowardly little rat who hides in the shadows well other people risk their lives. Secondly? You will have to step over my cold dead body if you want to lay even one finger on my daughter. You may be an immortal hunter child, but I have much more experience and so many more years on you. This is not a fight you will be able to win for many a year, and so if the President doesn’t want his favorite little lap dog to end up dead at his feet I suggest you turn away.”
Did she feel bad for threatening her life? Yes. She had adored Elizabeth as a child, and Eva had always been a close friend–not to mention that she knew her brothers reaction would be less than pleasant if she ended up having to kill her when he found out. But she didn’t let the resolve fall from her expression, and the hard glaring look in her eyes didn’t waver the slightest bit. Anyone who looked at her could tell that every word she said was nothing but the truth and that she would back them one hundred percent if she had to.
♛━» Taking a sharp turn from her previously mocking attitude, Elizabeth turned cold. “I see.” Inside, she was screaming for Mimira to realize this wasn’t her, but she was programmed– forced into this. For the past two years since Eva’s ‘death’, Elizabeth was living a never-ending hell and there was no sign of escape. First came the isolation. Then, as the teen continued to defy the president’s orders, came the physical torture. Everything in the book was done to her, and because of her ability to recover from wounds quickly, they were done again and again– in terrible, rapid succession without fear of her death. When at last even that failed to completely break her, arrived that damned piece of technological misery around her neck. Something inside it made her act this way, and it muddled her mind. She was somewhat aware of her actions, but resistance was utterly futile. If by rare chance she actually managed to break free from the man’s grip, an excruciating electrical shock would surge through her and reel her right back into Shigeo’s control. Miyagawa’s hold was absolute. “…It’s a shame. For someone bearing the title ‘Association’s Hound’, you certainly refuse to follow orders.”
Elizabeth placed her hand onto the handle of her sword and prepared to pull it out of its sheathe. “When a hound bears no more use, they should be taken aside and made examples out of… strung up in a public square… with their entrails scattered across the pavement…”
“It’s like they say– never bite the hand that feeds you. Mimira Cross, as I have been ordered to do so, I will be taking your daughter from you, and now that you’ve made it clear that you are disloyal… your head will roll.” Her hand began to shake a Elizabeth struggled to release the handle; she didn’t want to hurt Mimi. Although her memories involving her aunt were faint, they also provided a glimpse of happiness. If she had any control over her own actions, raising a sword against this woman would never be an option. Her trembling continued and impacted her voice, but through her lips passed a near-inaudible plea. “Don’t…let me do this.”
Mimira paused as she grabbed ahold of her knife hidden on her leg when Elizabeth spoke that last part, she wasn't a fool however and so she pulled it out so she could use it if she needed to. "Elizabeth--I don't want to kill you, but if you don't fight against whatever is happening I may have to. You are stronger than the president, and that's why he needs you. You can fight this, you just need to try."
It was a bit of a risk allowing her to see that she would regret tho if she had to do it. It might make her think that her resolve was weak--and this very well maybe her testing that. But the truth remained that she would kill her if she had to, even if she hoped to avoid it if at all possible. Even if she did have to fight her niece she hoped she'd be able to at least knock her unconscious rather than kill her. If she was as stubborn and durable as her Grandfather though? It was likely that that would be difficult at least, if not impossible.
--
♛━» The blonde’s lips curled into a wicked grin, clearly amused by her aunt’s reaction. Didn’t she care for the reason why her daughter was to be taken? And she would be taken. It was her task, and she was unable to refuse. “As you have legally adopted the girl, she is an official member of the Cross family. Because of that, her life belongs to the president as much as yours does. You have no right to refuse.”
“If you decide to oppose us, you will be severely punished. I’m sure you know from Kaien Cross’s experience. Or rather, Eva’s.”

”New to town I presume. At least tell me who you are before I decide to kill you for interrupting my dinner. And no, bullets & some spells isn’t enough to kill me, for future reference.”
It was obvious enough the newcomer was a hunter, a rather brave one at that but no matter, rebekah was hungry despite her meal earlier and the girl didn’t seem to bad to be an extra meal.
The woman defiantly kept her gun up, but was ready to draw the knife tucked under her jacket if she needed to.
"Mimira Cross, and not someone you want to kill or make an enemy of. You have no idea of the people who will come looking for me, and I'm sure that they would be more than a slight inconvenience to your life--"
It was true enough that she was new to town though. She had no idea who this was, but her presence felt similar to a Pureblood----though it wasn't the same. She was glade she was an immortal hunter, because the extra vampiric blood in her system gave her a bit more of a fighting chance.
"And I can assure you--I'm not like any human or hunter you've meet before. I wont die as easily as you might think."
♛━» The immortal hunter halted her stride a short distance in front of the blonde woman. With her gloved hand, Elizabeth pulled a document from the breast pocket of her uniform’s coat and presented it to her. “…I’ve been given orders to extract your adopted daughter. You may surrender her to Association headquarters by 1pm this afternoon, or I will have no choice but to take her by force. The choice is yours, Mimira Cross.”
Mimira eyed the other, was she joking? Or was the president just insane? She may try to keep her reputation under wraps but he definitely knew what she was capable of. "If you could kindly tell the President that he is off his fucking rocker and that my daughter is going no where near him it would be greatly appreciated. He has no authority over her, even if I have raised her she is still a vampire-and without proper cause he has no right to even be in her presence."
She paused for a moment before adding. "I have been very loyal over the years, and so you can also tell him--Unless he would like to make an enemy of me like he did my brother he can stop this silly little idea. You do not mess with my children without rebuttal, no matter who you are."

Kellen barely made it to the end of the cement stairwell a half a pace away from where she’d seen it before she collapsed to the ground and clamped a hand over her mouth as she let out a muffled gasp. She felt sick, what she’d seen, it had been monstrous…What the hell kind of creature could do something like that?!
Her body was shaking with the pure dread running through her system when footsteps stopped behind her at the top of the stairwell. Pure dread dipped down as she turned around, seeing just exactly what or rather who had done that to that poor soul.
It was just Mimira’s luck that she would run into the Level E well it was feeding, and her luck that well it was in that crazed blood thirsty monstrous state someone would see it. She’d been hoping to get this done and be headed back to Japan as soon as she did, she’d promised Alesea that she wouldn’t be gone to long. It was proving to require more time as she got through her list though.
She moved herself to where the other woman had ended up. Her gun was put back in it’s place on the holster inside of her jacket under her arm after picking it back up, and her knife was put back into the small holder at her waist mostly hidden under her jacket. “Hey--are you alright? Not hurt at all?” She questioned, knowing that Level E’s were a monsters sight, the complete lack of humanity and the crazed look in their eyes were enough to scare anyone who wasn’t used to them from her experience.

“I’m hungry.”
Mimira wasn’t exactly sure that her normal hunter weapons would do anything to the vampires here, and she had no right to be butting into the lives of these types of vampires. But she couldn’t just leave the person the other was feeding on being attacked.
“I think you should let them go. Not sure if this can kill you, but I’m sure that the spells on the bullets would hurt like a bitch at least.”
