“Well I’m… I’m very glad he seems so happy.” Indes awkwardly stumbled over the words, clearly not used to this. “That’s all I want him to be. He’s already made me plenty happy, I just hope that I can continue to do the same for him.”
“He doesn’t seem happy, Indes.” Zhu laughed again, rolling her eyes, “He is happy. I feel there’s a distinct difference there.” She leaned forward, leaning her chin on her clasped hands. She studied Indes for a moment before speaking, “I don’t mean to tease, I truly don’t. If you’re uncomfortable talking about it, I understand. I just... I worry so much about him, and if he’ll be miserable for however long he roams around, running from people who make him feel loved. And I finally think he’s moved past that into happiness, and I’m just so very happy that it’s finally happening.”

“Well, I can’t cast a spell to save my life and I don’t think I’m a skilled enough alchemist to make love potions, so I don’t think I can help you there. You might want to ask him instead.”
“Oh, please don’t turn away,” Zhugul managed to control her laughter but not her smile, “He does the same as you when I ask. Just turns red and says nothing.” She sighed wistfully, leaning back in her chair. “You should see him when you walk by, and you’re both busy, but he looks at you for just a moment. He looks so happy, so... content. Like he’s finally found the peace he wants.”
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
Zhugul laughed softly, tugging a lock of hair before speaking. “Just trying to figure out what powers of witchcraft or love potion you used for my brother. He’s all sappy eyed, humming old love songs under his breath. It’s quite entertaining, and it’s all because of you.”

“I think it will be bad.” She said it quietly, before looking up at Indes. “No matter what, this will end with a lot of old wounds torn back open, and I don’t know if he’ll make it out without his family. You, me, Sinia. The rest of his brothers and sisters here. I’m worried. But we have to tell him, cause I hate to think what he would do if Bash just walked up here to see him.”
She rose, smoothing down her dress and nodding to herself. “Do we tell Korgul first, or would you like to talk to Bash for yourself?”
Indes shook her head. “Unless you can think of something you or I may need to ask Bash first, then I say we go ahead and find Korgul to tell him. If we go talk to Bash, he may insist on coming back with us. I want Korgul to be good and ready before he comes and finds him.”
She motioned toward the door. “If you want to go now we can go find him before Bash decides to. If they’re just at the Bannered Mare, I doubt we have too much time before it’ll be too late to warn him.”
Zhugul stood, swaying for a moment before smiling at Indes. She wouldn't tell her the visions. Necromancy wasn't only a possibility, it was almost assured. And she knew what had been brought back, preserved from the beginning, and she didn't know if Korgul could win this fight without them. But she knew he would most likely need Indes most of all.
"We find my brother then." She blinked, then giggled briefly, "Korgul that is. It's hard to remember that another one of them is here, considering I never saw one growing up and Bash was only around for a little of my childhood." Briefly, she patted Indes on the arm, "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll one day meet one of my siblings in a way that doesn't involve potential violence."
“Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve ever met an Orc.”
“Oh, you’re so lucky then. I’m an absolute sweet heart compared to most. If you had met my brother first, you would most likely be in for a nasty surprise, he can be a little rough and cantankerous.”
She put her hands on her hips, appraising the person in front of her.
“So, a new Companion or just visiting? I’m Zhugul gra-Marzinar, resident gossip, sister of Korgul, who is a Companion, and all around lovely young womer to meet for your first Orsimer experience.”
“And not lacking in confidence, I see,” Fritjof hummed, giving a shallow bow of his head and a smile. “I’m Fritjof, and I’m a new Companion, as you said. I suppose I could learn a lot about them from you.” He paused, seeming to wait until she was done appraising him. “All of that said, I’m glad to have met you first. Though, rough and cantankerous I can deal with. I am a native of Skyrim, after all. My kin aren’t really known for being peaceful and calm.”
"As a friend of mine says, you must be confident sounding if you want to be confident darling." The last bit was said in an overly exaggerated Wayrest accent, but everything about Madame Marie was overly exaggerated and extremely Breton.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Fritjof," What a strange name for someone who looked more like they came from Valenwood than Skyrim, but it took all kinds, "You can learn the gossip at least. Who likes what candy, who is most likely to punch you, how to bribe Tilma with flowers and spices."
A brief flash of a smile and a wink crossed her face, a musical laugh flavoring her words, "Aye, I'm sure you can handle rough and cantankerous, but the 'Overgrown Without People Skills Club' are in a league of their own. They're the biggest ones here, and Seewul the Argonian is probably the nicest, if you can get him to talk."

Zhugul managed to laugh, her eyes lighting up as she looked at Indes.
“I don’t think my big brother is so apt to want to march of to his death anymore. Some bosmer has broken that particular Orsimer holdover I believe.”
Her face going serious, she thought for a moment. “I am not sure why everyone fears grandmother so. She was a good alchemist, all wise women are, and had a deep understanding of destruction and restoration magic. There were… Rumors of necromancy, and while I would dismiss them as fantasy because necromancy is abhorrent to orcs, they already spit in the face of cultural distaste by involving themselves in slavery.”
Zhugul sighed deeply, thinking very hard. She thought of the Orsimer of her stronghold, and if they would fight or not. Finally, she nodded.
“Bash is at the Bannered Mare. And Indes… If Korgul came home? They would fight. They would all rise up with him because they believe that Malacath favors him as the actual chieftain versus our brother. If he goes, they will follow.” She whispered quietly, “I’ve seen it.”
Indes resisted rolling her eyes a bit at the first comment, but the hint of a smile did tug at a corner of her mouth for a brief second before it disappeared. The mention of necromancy was quick to make her focus on the seriousness of the situation again.
She’s seen it? The entire clan falling into ranks behind Korgul when he showed up with little fuss? At first, Indes’ brow furrowed as she considered it, but then she remembered the comment Zhu gave her before she and Korgul went into the barrow… This was serious then? Something they could actually count on? Or just something that had a great chance of happening? Zhugul seemed very sure of it, at least.
“That is… reassuring. A little. Well, if the timing of this whole deal were any better.” A hand came up to massage around her collarbone as she thought a bit more. Then she shook her head. “In all honesty, I am still not sure what to tell you. Korgul will have to hear about this sooner or later. And he will have to make the decision himself.”
The hand came down again as she stepped away from the desk, closing in the distance somewhat. “I guess we don’t have much a choice here. Tell him before the other two find him so that he will have a chance to think it over first, or try to be there when Korgul does run into them. If we do nothing, then Bash and the other Orc will come looking for him without us.” She looked at Zhugul with a raised brow. “So, do you want me to come help you break the news to him before they do it for us? Or was there anything else you wanted to mention first?”
"I think it will be bad." She said it quietly, before looking up at Indes. "No matter what, this will end with a lot of old wounds torn back open, and I don't know if he'll make it out without his family. You, me, Sinia. The rest of his brothers and sisters here. Seewul hadn’t spoken to Korgul’s sister much if at all before, and thus was surprised when she approached him and placed a ring of flowers on his head while he sat in the main hall of Jorrvaskr. He was silent for a moment, before he looked at Zhugul, his head tilting somewhat, though not enough to risk the flowers falling off of his head.
“What are these for?” he asked, his tone curious and showing no signs of displeasure.
“My brother likes you.” She stated simply as she say down next to him, “And my brother doesn’t like many people. Especially people that he considers ‘like him’.” She smirked slightly as she said it, picking at a sweet roll.
“He told me about the Barrow. How you fought, and saved him. I don’t know how to thank people with words. I know how to make flower crowns, cause I made them for my siblings and family. It was the easiest way I could think of to show my appreciation. Plus, I stay here a lot. You should smile more, and a crown of flowers always makes someone smile.”
“‘Like him’,” Seewul repeated quietly, looking down for a moment. He wasn’t exactly sure what she meant by that, but it was good to hear that Korgul liked him. As Zhugul continued, the Naga looked at her once more, still as he listened.
“You’re welcome,” he said, though slightly hesitantly. A glance up toward the crown, and the corners of his mouth tugged up into a small, brief smile. “It’s nice. Don’t get flowers much.” He didn’t get flowers from others ever, really.
"Probably because people think you're... Standoffish? Is that a word? I think people are slightly scared of someone different." She shrugged, "Add in being large, and the children aren't exactly going to be running up to you with flowers like they do the twins or Ria."
She tapped her chin for a moment, then smiled softly.
"If you ever need a smile, come find me. I've never turned down making a flower crown for someone that needs it."
