I love the ‘straßen’ of Berlin. Here, they own all of the honest substance of peoples living - all our feverous grit, dirt, and dust. With the rapid adoption and evolution of digital technologies in the last 20 years, the ways in which people communicate and consume information has dramatically changed. This has resulted in many post-industrial civic spaces being no longer relevant in their current form. For example, the library may still facilitate the act of reading but books are no longer the key driver for organising space, instead spatial configurations must be driven by the users’ experience.
