hello everyone!   I’m the mun of this blog, you can call me 𝙲𝙸𝙽𝙽𝙰 (he/him pronouns please).

I was born in 1999, so do the math to figure out my age if you want, but I’m 21+.

I’ve been rping on forums since 2012, and on tumblr since around 2015. I also write Chell,  Norman, and Zuko here on Radial Island.

I’m autistic and hella anxious, so I’m not the best at ooc chatting but I try! I really wanna make friends in the group and write some cool plots with you all.

English is my first language, but I’m a linguistics nut so I’m usually in the process of working on learning others. Currently, I also can read and write Spanish semi-fluently, and hoping to expand further in the future.

I’m a music composition major in my last semester, I’m taking a light load of classes though, so I’ll probably be on here a lot!

📚 Dortin looks briefly up from his book, sitting not too far away from the other. Initially, he decides to not say anything, simply because he’s not sure what to. But, he’s finding himself unable now to fully focus again on the opened volume in front of him. The fact it is awfully written doesn’t help the situation. He sighs and closes the tome, his voice low to not disturb any others as he speaks up now anyway.

“You won’t find anything here. They only allow us to find what they want us to find. Leaving this place at our own free will is not part of that as far as my own knowledge goes, I’m afraid.”

HE SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED   it to be difficult. After all, there really didn’t seem to be any way to contact the planet(at least, Anakin assumes it must be a planet)’s rulers, and without his senses intact it’s hard to get any kind of a reading on the place. The lack of intuition is really grating on his nerves. 

Still, the Jedi Knight had hoped that he could at least find something. Maybe records from people who have been here before and found something out. 

But it’s seeming more and more like people don’t know anything at all. And that’s more than just a little bit concerning. Still, the stranger’s response causes Anakin to raise his eyebrows in curiosity.   “ but... you have found some things? ”   he queries,   “ or, other people have? ”

Koku sighs. It’s been a year and a half for him, and he was just like this guy—stuck in a place where he couldn’t use some choice words to those who forced him here. He couldn’t even decapitate them with his blade; and even then, that probably wouldn’t even free him. So, he responds with, “I’m afraid not.”

Koku felt like this guy, even if he was really too clumsy for his liking, may actually align with his interests. It wasn’t really based in fact, but it was a gut feeling — that, deep down, they were the same. “…What would you even want to ask them, anyway?” He asked.

WELL, IT WAS WORTH A SHOT.   Though, if the people who brought them here were so easy to speak to, he figures the situation might be pretty different. Because he wasn’t really expecting anything else, he’s not disappointed. Not really. It just confirms his suspicions. 

This place really sucks. 

Anakin decides to sit down-- calm down a little, maybe his head will stop spinning, but probably not. It hasn’t since he got here.  

If he weren’t so hell-bent on finding the people in charge and figuring out what’s going on, then he probably would have just stayed in bed until he got used to this feeling-- or rather, lack thereof. That is, if he ever did get used to it. 

Frown seems to be permanently placed upon his features as he thinks of an answer.   “ well... how and why i’m here is probably the first thing, ”   he muses,   “ and then how to get off this planet. i need to get back. ”

“N-Nope! Must be some other Steven Universe.” Steven chuckled, beads of sweat forming on his temples.

“Whoever he is, he’s probably supposed to be in school right now, but obviously, he’s not!” Steven couldn’t stop chuckling. “He’s probably gonna get so much detention when they find out! Ha! Oh geez!” He suddenly felt sick.

AHHH... HE SEES   what’s going on here now. There’s a little twitch of his lips in response. Anakin had been to school once before, briefly. It had ended rather disastrously (despite the mission going well). So he has some kind of vague idea as to how schools work. 

And the person on the card is most definitely the same person standing in front of the Jedi now. 

Anakin’s smirk widens.  “ well, if i saw this ‘other’ steven universe, i’d tell him to keep his student identification somewhere that it won’t fall out of his pocket. ”  He pauses, shrugging,   “ here, why don’t you take it? since you look so much like him, maybe you’ll run into him more easily. ”

He knows that isn’t how that works, but still.

ミ★ ┊     ❝  oh,  this ol’ thing ?  ❞   her smile beams with delight.  finally,  someone who is genuinely curious instead of the usual bullying !   gloved hands drop a screwdriver onto the ground and pick up her work to give him a better look. 

         ❝  i have no idea !  ❞  a laugh follows her sincere statement.  ❝  well,  i mean,  i do,  it’s a remote controller for something.  but i don’t know what it controls !   so i wanna see if i can figure out the tech behind this so i can control something that isn’t normally compatible.  this place is super hi-tech and i love it !!    you like this kinda stuff too ?  ❞

HE LOOKS AT IT   with a curious look on his face. Yeah, definitely some kind of controller. Head tilts thoughtfully.   “ do you know what kind of signal it gives off? ”   he asks,   “ if we know that, we can probably build something that’ll receive it. And maybe figure out how to make it respond from there. ”

He lightly taps on some of the buttons with a finger, not enough to push them.   “ it does have a lot of buttons... maybe it moves something? Like remote piloting. ”

That could certainly be fun-- creating a simulator. Sure it wouldn’t be anything like really flying, but at least it would get him off the ground in some capacity. He’s already tired of being ground-bound, and he’s only been here for less than a week.

“ yeah, i love it! but... this place is nowhere near as advanced as home. some parts are kind of close, but there’s a lot of stuff that’s normal back home that i haven’t seen here. ”

“ yeah, yeah-- don’t worry about it! ”   Anakin stumbles back to his feet, a little bit dizzy still from being hit in the face, but he looks down at the runaway thief that’s now lying, unconscious, on the ground.   “ i’ve been hit a lot harder. besides, he’s the one you should be worrying about. ”

He bends down, picking up the handbag the man had snatched from a shopper in the market, then sends a glance back toward the concerned stranger. 

“ it’s just a bruise, nothing to worry about. now... i have to find this bag’s owner. ”

“Huh–?” Steven went bright pink when he what it was. His name and face were plastered all over that student ID card, but he nervously feigned ignorance. 

“Nope! That’s not mine! I’ve never seen that before!” 

HE LOOKS DOWN   at the ID card, then up at the stranger, then back down, then back up. Raises an eyebrow in disbelief. 

“ really? ”   he asks, crossing  his arms.   “ it sure looks like it’s yours. ”   He frowns just a little in confusion. It’s clearly, obviously the other’s-- Steven’s card. So why the denial then?

Koku hasn’t been quite active on the murder scene recently. There was not much reason to; the last event was so tiring to keep up with. It almost blurred by for him, like he wasn’t even part of the event at all. But it happened, for sure — he thinks.

So as he kept to himself, he found himself spending more time walking around aimlessly, his favorite pastime. Sometimes, on rare occasion, he’d even play the violin. But today, some clumsy man was bumping into him. Can’t be helped, he guesses.

“It’s fine,” Koku says, as politely as he can. “No big deal.”

HE FEELS A LITTLE STUPID   now, sure he’s always been a little on the clumsy side of Jedi, but never this bad. Hand reaches up to massage the back of his neck, awkwardly. One corner of his mouth tugging sideways in embarrassment. 

“ thank you, ”   he replies,   “ i’ll try to pay better attention. ”

But it’s hard to do that now. He feels like a little kid, barely able to focus in on anything and constantly disoriented. It’s not pleasant.   “ i just got here a few days ago. would you by any chance know where i could find the ones in charge? i have some questions to ask them. ”

HE’S LEAFING THROUGH A FAIRLY LARGE    pile of books at one of the library’s tables, all about Spirale and its history. Though it’s a little hard to focus on the reading. One foot bounces steadily, lower lip caught between his teeth.   “ i thought the library would have at least some kind of information about how to leave this place... ”   he murmurs audibly, but apparently he thought wrong.

“ what’s going on here? ”   he asks, gesturing around at the small crowd of people that had begun to gather. It’s hard to tell whether the gathering is for a good reason or a bad one.

“ what are you working on? it looks interesting. ”   He leans down to get a closer look at the girl’s project. If nothing else, at least this place has some cool tech to work with.

HE REALLY NEEDS TO WATCH   where he’s going a little better. But so often his mind is elsewhere, and he doesn’t even notice people until he’s practically on top of them. 

He takes one step backwards and slams into someone-- 

“ whoa! sorry. ”

still getting used to this, he adds, mentally, but he doesn’t say it aloud. Not exactly fond of the idea of revealing weaknesses to the world.

Anakin: constantly uses the force as an extension of his senses.

Anakin, arriving in Spirale: “ wow everything’s fuzzy i hate it ”

WELL, HE FEELS   pretty horrible too. Since arriving here, he’s been cut off from his senses. Everything is guesswork without his powers. Until now he had no idea how much he really relied on them. 

So he’s spent the past couple of days running into things and practically tripping over his own feet, his head a muddled mess. Safe to say, he’s got more bruises on his face than not. 

Now, he’s sitting on a bench, head in his hands.   “ is it really that bad? ”   he asks, groaning.
