Overcast days were perfect, the sun was hidden behind the clouds and Reina had found herself almost hoping more of the white powder everyone called snow would fall from said clouds. Of course now that she though more on it rain would be fine as well; turning the snow into ice was honestly just as good as regular snow. It was seen as mean but she had rather enjoyed watching people slide across the ground and land either face or behind first on that very same ground.
These overcast days were also beneficial for another reason as well; normal humans didn’t like it when it looked like the weather would be bad meaning she wouldn’t have to listen to people trying to make small talk with her as she passed them. And if she chose to stroll through the shopping district later she wouldn’t need to worry about people trying to stop her.
Figuring it as a good idea Reina rotated her initial direction to wandering around the open land to instead go to the shopping district. Who knows they might actually have something interesting for once? As she took the rather common path she came across a few others who had been trapped here that were either scurrying away trying to find warmth or just wandering as she was. Everyday there seemed to be new faces and honestly she hadn’t bothered introducing herself to many of them. However, she found herself paused mid-step when she saw a familiar face.
“Stella.” She spoke quietly before yelling it out louder to get the smaller girls attention; again she found herself diverted from her originally planned path to turn and look at her.
“What on this planet are you doing outside? You’ll get sick if you’re not careful.” She spoke thinking it probably unlikely that she would actually get sick. In Stella’s case, she found that she actually cared what happened to the smaller girl.
A little sign of bad weather was never enough to deter the star from travelling outside. As long as she worn a lot of layers and made sure it wasn’t too cold outside, she had no risk of anything happening to her... If it were to happen. It would take some serious cold in order to begin messing up the shell that is her very body, and even then, Stella would still have the natural warmth she emits to help slow down the process.
She was definitely going to be fine going outside!
It wasn’t uncommon to see her just looking through the store windows either. She never walked into a store, unless there was something she saw that got her interest; never fully getting accustomed that she can enter and leave a store without buying anything. It just didn’t feel right. So most of her shopping experience was spent outside, making her very easy to spot.
She had thought she heard her name coming from somewhere... but she didn’t want to turn around in case it was merely someone else who happened to share her name. The second time it was said - more loudly - got the star to turn around, looking a little surprised. Normally, people didn’t shout her name down streets. But some things had to change, right? Instead, she merely focused on what was being said to her, head tilting in slight confusion.
Upon being told she could get sick by being outside, she couldn’t stop the smile forming on her face, quickly accompanied by giggling. It wasn’t meant to insult, but by itself, it probably could... so she’d explain. “ Can’t get sick. Nothing in me... to ge... get sick. “ In a literal sense, she wasn’t lying. Because Stella was merely rock and magma, she couldn’t get injured or sick like expected. Then again, she never really told people that fact all the time...
A tendency of hers; assuming people know what she actually is in terms of material upon saying she’s a star.
“ Wouldn’t be col... cold enough, anyway. Still quite warm. See? “ A hand, which was previously clasped around her other to keep them both warm, was now being raised towards the other. Compared to the current temperature and the way she moved her hand, there definitely was some heat to be felt. And it’d only be even warmer if she decided to make physical contact. “ So I’ll be fine! But what about you? Woul... Wouldn’t you be cold? “
