Most hate crimes are against women, there’s just so many that they don’t even see it that way. Oh a serial killer is killing young girls? Typical. Oh a man killed his wife? Typical. Oh a girl is followed home at night? Typical.

No not typical. It’s because they were women, it happens so much and in plain site it’s ignored in the same way the sky being blue is ignored. The fact that leftists can see a problem with “sundown” towns and not with the fact that every place has those rules for women and girls is crazy.

one of the things doing a gender studies degree taught me is that there’s an expectation for women to self-flagellate for talking about Social Issues in public, and that there’s always someone who’s ready to jump in and tell you that you’re not self-flagellating enough, and then probably also remind you that guilt is unproductive despite just guilt tripping you.

Another thing I learned from doing a gender studies degree is that men are overpraised for merely thinking about social issues one time and making them feel bad is verboten because then they might stop occaisionally thinking and that would be the worst, unrecoupable loss to the movement.

love how if you marry Abigail, her 14 heart event is about her having to save you from a monster and feeling some sort of quiet but life changing guilt about taking a life for the first time and she insists on burying it and if you go by the grave later you get a message about how she had to take a life to save yours and you will never forget that.

but if you marry Sebastian, he’ll just be hanging out in the kitchen one morning and be like “hey, couldn’t sleep last night so I went for a walk through the mines and got this for you” and hand you void essence which you can only get in the mines by going down to the 80+ levels and killing Shadow People, which are sapient people that can talk and have their own culture and customs and shit, and this is a Perfectly Normal morning you can have.
