Asi + Alaz || because we were so close… These two are such a mess. I love them.
I was talking to my dad about renewable energy and he was like “the only problem with solar farms is they take up so much space.”
And it made me think about a city and how much sun exposure all the rooftops in a city get and…why not just make the city it’s own solar farm by putting solar panels on every rooftop?
There actually some really cool set ups for solar farms! Here's some examples
^^solar dunes and floating flowers!!
^^I'd personally replace this with a train line instead of a highway but yk
^^And hopefully this close to what your thinking off as well
Okay, so I'm gonna take this down one by one with very basic knowledge of electrical infrastructure and how solar panels actually work.
Setup A: clearly CGI in the first place, but even if it was real.
A) Flat panels lying straight on the ground is always 100% a terrible idea, they're gonna produce little to no energy, ESPECIALLY in a hilly area where they're covered in shadow half of the day.
B) They're floating in the middle of the river, which means getting energy out of those and into homes would require some huge fuck-off cables IN the river. Energy doesn't just flow out of solar panels magically to your toaster.
C) These are gonna be a common problem with solar panels as a whole, but the amount of pollution this will introduce to the river is crazy. Solar panels are made out of some of the most harmful metal and plastics you can find, them sitting in the river soaking all day will poison them for generations. The local fish are DEAD dead.
D) Likewise, solar panels are a terrible idea when built outside of cities in the first place. You can't reliably store the energy, the power lines lose effectiveness over distance and the batteries to transport said energy are really, REALLY terrible for the planet in production and have a limited life cycle anyway.
E) Maintenance. Oh my GOD, maintenance. Just a few cracks from wear and tear will make them useless AND release more poison into the river. A single hail would WRECK them. They will need constant repairs, which will have to be done by boats which, guess what, use fossil fuels.
Setup B:
At least the panels themselves are angled to better catching the sun. But a huge installation like this is gonna HEAT UP and wreck the wildlife. They will also need maintenance, so it is very likely there will be support structures built around them, so even more of the desert is eaten up.
Setup C:
Hey, do you know what a GREENHOUSE does? Because that's gonna be one big greenhouse and actually driving or riding a train inside will be unbearable. Plus, poor angling, so you're not getting much energy from the panels anyway.
Setup D:
The parking lot idea actually KIND OF works. The panels are at least somewhat angled, so they're gonna catch at least SOME sunlight. It ain't gonna be much and it's gonna be expensive to install, but at least it's something.
Setup E:
Okay, the first one actually somewhat works. It's not producing a lot of energy, but it's enough to make a dent in your energy bill and the panels will justify their own cost in about three years. You're still gonna be relying on power stations for most of the year, especially when it's cloudy. And unless you have a huge fuck-off battery setup, you're not gonna be able to save up the extra energy in the sunny months. Plus maintenance, we've been over this.
The flat one on the side of the building is not going to generate enough energy to justify its own cost, lmao.
Here's what actual solar farms look like:
They are angled to maximize the amount of sun they get and they take up a huge chunk of space, while not even being all that effective.
There's also these things:
That shit in the center is the actual "solar panel" (it's technically not even the same technology, but w/e). The rest are mirrors that capture the maximum amount of sunlight possible at all times. They produce an okay amount of energy, but they WRECK local ecosystems. Birds flying above them get roasted in mid-air.
This is not me defending fossil fuels. There IS an alternative. It's called nuclear energy. But y'all are not ready for this conversation yet.
Yes, we need to take better care of our planet. No, solar and wind and electric vehicles are not the help you think they are and we are no where near capable of getting rid of oil. No rational scientist who has researched the damage these industries are doing to our planet thinks this is the answer to saving it.

Asi & Alaz || Only Love Can Hurt Like This (English+Arabic Subtitles)
So much more interesting that the main pairing. I love them both so much.
So to recap:
Chilling with the guy you stabbed while he tries to convince you to run so you don't get caught.
Dragging him to a doctor who asks who did this to him while you both awkwardly avoid the question.
Hearing the girl who stabbed you went into the river and is sick.
Sneaking into her house while her protective brothers are out to apologize for hurting her.

The evidence of the payoff in Trump's case is based on whether that money came from an account earmarked for campaign funds. If that is proven to be true then it's a violation. There are many more charges to prove also. Whether Cohen lied to Congress is troubling and of course, it will be up to the Judge to accept Cohen's word on where the money came from to reimburse him. By the way, it wasn't a one-time check for reimbursement. There were several checks involved. A coverup of those payments is also troubling because paying off someone to be quiet is not illegal. Why was Trump trying to coverup the payment? Was he trying to keep it from his wife? Or was he not wanting the news to get out in the midst of a campaign? He says it never happened if that's believable because he's had affairs before. So he's calling Cohen a liar and everyone knows he's told some pretty tall tales.
Cohen was convicted in court of law for...lying. Who should we believe? A convicted liar or a man accused of the exact same thing as the convicted liar, who was already found guilty of it and said Trump had nothing to do with it at the time, then suddenly changed his testimony, proving he was either lying again or lying before. Either way, the case is solely based on the testimony of a convicted liar who was already found guilty of what he suddenly claims Trump did? WTF? This is a witch hunt just in time for campaigning. Same with the other charges he was indicted for. Biden and Clinton were both accused (and proved to be guilty of) the exact same thing but the court suddenly decided to go after Trump right before election season? Really? I don't know if any of them are guilty or if all of them are guilty but prosecuting only one side is outright corruption by government agencies and illegal in every way, shape, or form unless they immediately charge all of them.
UNMUTE OMG
I feel I need context in the worst way, but also that no context could possibly improve on the glory that is... this.

This is true love. You think this happens every day?
I adore every part of this film. Except the sword finding the tree. That was extra dumb. But the rest? *chef’s kiss*
