make me choose: anonymous asked: lucifer, michael, gabriel or raphael?
look what we made!
so um, i haven’t been around for months. i’ll either be around more or less in coming months.
i found out i’m pregnant, and promptly got fired from my place of work, so me and mancreature are moving back in with my mum.
good fucking times.

I call these 'a study in depression' because that's how I've been feeling for weeks. Makeups good tho.
me: i am sad and lonely i need to hang out with people more.
also me: oh look a day off in which i could plan something with someone (and look i have this planned tonight!) i’d better cancel everything so i can stay in my PJs and mope.
i have exactly 0 interest in watching black sails but the music??? my gods???
When I awoke next morning, I had an aching head And there was I, Jack, all alone, stark naked in my bed My gold watch and my money and my lady friend were gone And there was I, Jack, all alone, stark naked in the room
please. tell us more about your 'folk bangers' playlist. that sounds relevant to all of my interests. (folks and banging)
if you want a playlist for banging folks this probably isn’t the one for you, but if you want to Go Off, Historically then WHAT’S UP
The Parson’s Farewell by Bear McCreary (circa 1651)
Rogues in a Nation by Steeleye Span (1791)
Black Sails Main Title by Bear McCreary
You Will Burn by Steeleye Span (actually written in the 1990s, but you wouldn’t think it)
Ampleforth/Lay Me Low by The Albion Band (this was written in the ‘70s, but The Albion Band, and this album in particular, is made up of a bunch of old Fairport Convention members with vocals from people like Martin Carthy and Maddy Prior of Steeleye Span, and you really don’t get more Traditional English Folk than that)
Poor Old Horse by The Albion Band (see above)
Twa Corbies by Steeleye Span (1611)
Babylon Is Fallen by Sacred Harp (1640s - this is the only half-decent version I could find, as previously I’ve only heard it sung around a fire by drunk English civil war reenactors)
Over the Hills and Far Away by John Tams (late 1600s, sometimes something goes hard because of the feelings it stirs in your breast, and not because it actually goes hard)
Dance of the Druids by Bear McCreary (from Outlander)
Cam Ye O’er Frae France by Steeleye Span (circa 1716)
Cold Blows the Wind (The Unquiet Grave) by Morrigan (dates back to as early as 1400)
The Elf Knight by Steeleye Span (The Gowans Sae Gae variant of Lady Isabel and the Elf Knight, 1776)
The Outlandish Knight by Bellowhead (another variant of Lady Isabel and the Elf Knight)
The Hangman and the Papist by The Strawbs (another one written in the late 20th century by someone whose past life must have been thrilling)
Tam Lin - Anaïs Mitchell and Jefferson Hamer (1549 - and, listen, this isn’t a banger on its own, but when you compare it to other versions of Tam Lin it goes off)
King Henry by Steeleye Span (my dad and I go a lot harder than Steeleye Span when we sing this, but still)
Santianna/Santiano/Santy Anno by The Kingston Trio (1850s, another one that my dad and I destroy on car journeys)
Rocky Road to Dublin by The Dubliners (circa 1850s)
Ye Jacobites by Quilty (Ye Jacobites By Name was written between 1688 and 1746, and rewritten by Robert Burns in 1791)
Shiver My Timbers from the Muppet Treasure Island OST (do not fucking judge me, this song is an absolute banger of the first water)
🤘🏻
give yourself permission.
you don’t have to look for reasons to buy yourself a latte, to sleep in, to take time off training, to slow down. you are human - allow yourself to be. don’t go through life avoiding the things that would add a little extra happiness in your day because it feels undeserved. you are not perfect but that doesn’t mean you need rules.
please don’t hold yourself together with strings of apologies and excuses. you are so much more than that.
@adriarps why are you attacking me like this
wow….. apparently …. people can change ..??……. ?,? and grow?….?!.,, and, wait for it …….,,.,,’ see the error of their ways and mature ???????.¿??.??¿¿ wow what a concept
