Surprised! I’m updating this blog again!!! No I have never stopped listening to Mili I was just in an extreme state of lethargy for a long while. Funny enough, this is another Mili song that talks about lethargy imo. I cannot promise for sure (I may have adhd) but there is an intense urge to dissect it, I hope I can come back to write it after finishing my things!

This is such an interesting song with the lyrics that, to me, feels more AWAAWA in terms of how commentary it feels, but I may misunderstand Yamato and Cassie’s intentions with the separate unit.

What's up? I made fanart of the song "Bathtub Mermaid" by Mili! I wasn't going to make anything for mermay, until I discovered this song.

For those who don't know, the song's about a girl who's in love with a guy, but the guy doesn't love her. The girl is so obsessed and blinded by her own love, that she destroys herself (hence the gore) for him. But in the end, it was all for nothing since the guy never loved her back and forgot about her.

Sad story, but at least the song is great

It’s been a few years since Mili released a full album… I imagine it’s at least in part due to the difficulty they had with their old label. Now that they aren’t a part of that label anymore it’s probably harder to pull something like that together

Though I’m not particularly mad about it… I don’t have the money right now to go for a physical copy like I have for previous albums 😓

Well I think you should also take into account that they have been doing a lot of collaborative jobs recently: World Flippers, Goblin Slayer, GiTS SAC_2045, Gleipnir, Library of Ruina, and now ENDER LILIES. They have also released several EPs in the meantime. I'm confident that they are pulling together an album, Cassie has also mentioned making a new album in one of her tweet (several months ago, but still counts). For now they are just dealing with their commissions, after that I'm pretty sure there will be an album. So far there are 5 songs on YouTube, still waiting for an album to be included in, and we have a meme song coming in 8 hours.

After all I think they are actually thriving!
