Learning
Sometimes I just hit walls. Not literally. Not since I was a teenager at least. But metaphorically. With writing, with friendships, with being able to be 'on' in any sense of the word. Professionally or personally. I'm trying to remember it's the people who get you through. The family you love, the friends you've confirmed as family. They will understand if you change and vice versa. We are not static creatures. We are dynamic. Our motivations for our undertakings are complex and effect one another. We provide feedback and stimuli, continuing our evolution. And I know that no matter what, I don't want to evolve without certain people in my life. Because without their guiddance I wouldn't be my most badass self and vice versa. I was talking about Sci-Fi with Simon today. Particularly Annihilation, and the motives and results that each characer carried with them. Trauma changes you. It's okay. Let it. But find people who accept the new you, the one who is maybe a little rougher around the edges. Help each other, and when you can't, find someone who can. We only get to do this once. Let's do it together.
Finding Sense
I am damn near 31. That's kind of a kicker. My twenties were so promising. Internship followed by well paid desk job in non-profit health. I always wanted to be more hands on though. In college I interned with a birthing center as part of my anthropology degree. The morning I showed up to the floor, tired, cranky, and in hideous purple scrubs, I knew I wanted to be a nurse. I almost cried at the certainty of the revelation. And it was ironic in a way because everyone had always said the last thing I would ever be was a nurse. I wasn't caring or empathetic or nurturing enough. I always come off as cold to others but it's because I never learned how to connect past the false niceties that make my skin feel too tight. So, one CEO with psychopathy later and I was out of work. I floated but nothing took. I did reception, events planning, but nothing that mattered to me personally or paid well. Because capitalism is a cunt and a key player here. Then I got into nursing school. And I hated it. Not the coursework but the hospital shits, treating other humans like chattel to be assesed and moved on from. So now I have a state license in phlebtomy. And know what? I'm good. I can get your veins no matter who you are because my shit first job in the business only let us use huge straight needles. But I can't find a job. I have a bachelor's, a state cert, and experience. And I still feel hopeless. I am not actively suicidal, but everytime I get my meds refilled the thought crosses my mind that if I took the whole bottle it would all be done. I know that if I were to jump from a building it would have to be at least ten stories to avoid waking up in a hospital with broken legs and vertebrae. I don't want to die, let me reiterate. But at the moment, living isn't all it's cracked up to be. I love my spouse. He's amazing and compassionate and listens and encourages me to go to therapy and be healthy in a way that isn't condescending. He's hopelessly and adorably nerdy. I told him I was bisexual and his response was "I figured. But are you okay with it?" How did someone like me luck out with that? I just...I feel like I should be more. I'm trying. I like to think I show up for my family and friends, that the next job application will pay off. But it's hard, and it feels like the the bad days haven't stopped in awhile.
After the war, Zeb took Kallus along the secret hyperspace path to the planet Lira San. It was then that Kallus realized he hadn’t destroyed the Lasat people, and that they were thriving on this new world. A world where he was welcome as one of them.
“Well, uh, hopefully [Zeb] will head to Lira San and start a family with Kallus.”

could you draw a f/f ship between the jedi ladies? like depa and luminara, or shaak and luminara? if not that is ok too! i love your art of the jedi
Hey, sorry about the long wait!
I gave this some thought and came up with Shaak Ti and Stass Allie, mostly because of that moment (in some version of canon) where the two of them are protecting the Chancellor before he gets “captured” leading up to Ep III. They end up facing down Grievous together, Stass Allie gets injured and Shaaki Ti has to temporarily leave her behind. Just thought of how dramatic and emotional that would be if they were close.
