There  wasn't  a  time  that  Violet  wasn't  hypervigilant.  Since  her  early  childhood,  she  learned  fast.  It  was  a  bounty  hunter  world  out  there.  And  Vi  had  every  intention  of  living.  Not  like  I  had  much  of  a  choice.  She  wasn't  special  enough  to  be  abducted  by  the  Jedi.  Living  in  the  Outer  Rim  for  the  first  five  years  of  her  life  made  that  almost  impossible. "I  can  do  it  alone,  but  it  will  take  longer.  The  faster  we  are,  the  less  likely  for  casualties."  Violet's  eyes  shifted  when  she  saw  her  hand  come  out  suddenly.  The  subtle  shift  in  the  Force  made  her  notice  the  movement  before  she  actually  offered  the  ration  bar.  Her  stomach  gurgled  in  protest.  When  was  the  last  time  she  ate?  Vi  took  it  quickly  and  tore  it  open.  She  only  had  a  few  ration  bars  at  a  given  time,  and  it  wasn't  enough  to  get  by.  It  made  her  feel  semi-grateful.  "Thanks."

Violet  felt  the  breeze  through  her  dress,  and  it  made  her  slightly  wobbly.  She  saw  Skaargaster  flying  high  near  the  edge  of  the  city  before  dipping  down.  Where  he  lacked  in  size,  he  made  up  for  in  speed.  She  had  nothing  but  faith  in  her  dragon.  They  were  kindred  spirits.  Two  that  were  bound  for  greater  things  than  being  in  her  father's  cruel  iron  grip.  "This  is  the  only  moment  we  have.  Vhagar  is  not  in  the  city.  She  hunts  this  time  of  day."  Vi  was  smart  enough  to  follow  Aemond  quietly.  "He  won't.  He's  never  denied  anyone  who  doesn't  pose  a  threat."  And  her  brother  was  deadly  with  a  sword.  But  none  compared  to  him  in  battle.  It  was  why  she  was  desperate  to  join  him.  Vi  would  be  safer  with  him  than  their  violent  father. "Trust  me.  I  won't  let  anything  happen."  Violet  saw  Skaargaster  fly  faster  and  round  himself  out  before  aiming  below  the  balcony.  "When  I  say,  jump.  Jump."  There  was  no  turning  back  for  her.  Her  fate  would  be  the  same  as  her  brother's.

Violet's  eyes  flicked  away  quickly.  Joyce  barely  knew  her,  but  she  still  cared?  It  was  foreign  to  her.  In  all  her  years,  no  one  stopped  and  said  those  words.  Telling  her  she  was  used  up  and  useless,  that  was  what  she  was  used  to  hearing.  No  one  looked  her  way.  No  questions  were  asked.  Vi  was  on  her  own,  and  by  the  time  the  Guild  Master  reached  her—  the  damage  had  been  done.  Because  trusting  people  only  got  you  hurt. But  reuniting  with  Anakin  changed  everything.  For  the  first  time,  she  had  someone—no,  people  to  look  after  her.  And  Violet  didn't  know  what  the  hell  to  do  with  it.  "I'll  be  fine.  I  always  am."

Violet's  eyes  stayed  ahead  as  she  lifted  her  arm.  "Just  keep  walking."  Moments  prior,  she  had  her  drone  follow  them  from  behind.  Nothing  would  catch  her  off  guard,  not  as  long  as  she  lived.  Vi  always  had  a  backup  plan  for  about  everything.  Because  if  anyone  hurt  someone  she  cared  about—  just  a  little  more  time. Noting  two  people  of  interest  on  her  wristlet,  she  pushed  deeper  into  the  crowd  and  made  sure  Padme  was  close  by.  "See  that  building  ahead?  Once  we  get  to  it.  I  need  you  to  duck  inside  while  I  take  care  of  these  creeps."

The  court  of  Camelot  was  littered  with  men  of  power.  Some  women  lingered  chatting  in  between  giggles.  Violet  found  Arthur's  court  lacking.  It  desperately  needed  a  feminine  touch,  but  not  just  the  frail  type.  She  saw  some  of  her  own  crew.  Half  of  them  were  rough-necked  women  like  her.  And  it  was  a  comfort  to  her.  If  she  had  to  pick  between  jewels  and  titles,  she  would  always  pick  being  a  rogue. It  was  her  pride  that  bubbled  inside  of  her  chest.  Prissy  types  the  lot  of  them,  she  thought.  Violet  was  unapologetically  herself.  Loud,  crude,  and  uncaring  about  what  mistakes  she  made.  Probably  why  Jacob  wanted  her  around;  she,  was  real  despite  the  sea  of  fakeness.  "Great.  I'll  invite  a  few  of  the  gals,  and  we  can  have  a  real  good  time."
