The Bodysnatchers were a 7-piece all-female band of the late-’70s British 2 Tone ska scene and Rhoda Dakar also worked with The Specials and Special AKA in the early-’80s.

She was DJing between bands when I saw the Interrupters a few years ago, bloody great set. Started out with protopunk (Stooges, New York Dolls and suchlike) then moved on to classic 70s British punk, then after the support Bankrobber was the bridge into full on rocksteady Bluebeat.

She gave me a thumbs-up from the stage ‘cause I was the only person in the crowd super into the playlist.
