HEY LOKI FANS! Here I am! I'm finally free and I'll be with you this summer and in the coming months, so I won't have any commitments or unforeseen events! I'll be very active, obviously we'll start again in the next few days, definitely starting tomorrow! I'll be redoing my Twitter account again in the next few weeks, and I'll be working on it a lot more this time than before!
Expect many more updates on Loki! Thanks for your (still 😭) patience! 💚
Vali Halfling about his father
Vali always tries to imitate Loki - which contempt seems like an obsession for them, even though he is comparing them to a hero
But he's right - Loki is a giver, but he missed the point of the cunning.
[I'll catch up on everything in the summer - so there will be lots of updates]
[I'm stuck at the moment due to the end of my studies]
Loki & Food
Him pouting at the hot dog is still the best.
I’d like to add:
I love when they reference back to their childhood and how long a time Thor and Loki were in a better place than they are now. It’s easy to think Thor is just an idiot for not seeing Loki for what he is, but they’ve been close a lot longer than they’ve been enemies.
It’s actually really sad.
I created a new blog for all my (Lady) Loki fashion feels before my usual inspiration blog gets even more messy.

Being a Loki fan is kind of surreal.
You start up empathizing with a character for feeling misunderstood, unloved, alienated, and mistreated. Accused of always whining and playing the victim, his complaints are “imagined slights”, and he’s more or less universally despised and reviled. (Blah blah blah shut up space orphan.)
And you end up fucking BEING Loki, being MADE into Loki by other fans. You feel misunderstood, unloved, alienated, and mistreated. You get accused of whining all the time and always playing the victim. Your complaints are not to be taken seriously, or respected, or tolerated even. It’s always ok to make fun of Loki fans.
Listen, even if the entirety of my fannishness derived solely on Tom Hiddleston being pretty and looking great in leather, and the breadth and width of my appreciation and understanding of the character consisted of having a hormonal crush on a whiny emo goth with issues, why would that make it okay for people to fucking mock me and despise me for that???
what the hell is wrong with people??
I’ve got one word for you: misogyny. (Yes, even coming from other women. How could the patriarchy keep half the population disempowered if it didn’t turn the subjugated against each other?)
i have to agree
we are the “hysterical teenage fangirls” of the fandom and we deserve all the contempt.
Even in this place, which is trying to vindicate teenagers, and girls, and fans, and “fannish hysteria,” Loki fans are just… not worthy.
(oh, my English failed me so badly in this post. I meant to write “you start feeling SYMPATHY” not empathy. Damn I can’t edit now.)
Misogyny is one of the important reasons. I was just reading that tweet of JMS about Thor in Endgame and I read some of the replies to it. There were people who were criticizing Ragnarok and Thor in it. No one attacked them or mocked them. Guess what? They were all men.
Another reason for our treatment is Loki’s status as a villain. Some people just can’t understand loving a dark or villain coded character. So it must be the actor’s looks.
maybe we should all adopt male nom de plumes when we tweet and write meta and shit.
i’m not even joking
#awkward laugh from trans guys in fandom#i mean yes misogyny is definitely part of it#but if you’re on tumblr people will assume you’re a woman anyway
@illwynd I think that last point is exactly right, and it’s why the Loki fan-bashing is still a symptom of misogyny when it’s aimed at trans men/ trans masc/ nb folks. First there’s the frequency-based assumption that for any given person on Tumblr they’re more likely to be a woman than not; then there’s the misogyny-laden stereotype about Loki stans that makes people incapable of processing the information that some people who love Loki and hated Ragnarok are not, in fact, straight white cis women.
@lucianalight and then there’s another layer of misogyny on top of the villain-loving thing, because people are always comparing us to the “crazy” women who write to serial killers in prison, start to sympathize with them, fall in love with them, etc. The comparison requires a whole lot of elision of the line between fiction and reality… and because these morons mostly have trouble with it, and also have trouble with perspective-taking and the idea that other people might know or understand things they don’t, they assume that we are similarly challenged.
@philosopherking1887 Seriously!? They are comparing us to that situation!? Oh. My. God. It’s really ironic that they accuse us of the inability to differentiate between fiction and reality.
“Loki killed a lot of people, so if you like him you’re crazy” can’t be the whole truth. If it’s all right for James Bond to be a male fantasy and a babe magnet, why is it so odd to sympathize with Loki?
Okay and lets not forget that Loki is an ambiguous character, in terms of supposed moral standing and perhaps even his sexuality. He’s not typically masculine like the the male characters in the MCU. He’s from an abusive background with plenty of mental health issues, and no one around him even wants to attempt to take him seriously.
And sadly, this also extends to people in our universe as well. The same people who don’t take Loki seriously in the films, also don’t take Loki seriously in our world, and since Loki is existing within the fictional realm, we the Loki fans, get the beating.
If there is one important takeaway from the MCU films and the story of Loki, it is really how the marginalised never really get a say in society and in that way, that Loki, until his death, never really got much credit for whatever he did, is quite realistic
I give my opinion: Loki is basically also a God in mythology and it's as if everything that happens is "normal" we can say - I confirm that not even in the comics, at the beginning Loki did so we can say worse - MCU in the first the Thor 1 (film) was inspired in Blood Brothers: Blood Brothers it is about the complex part of Loki. Loki is not only loved for the worst things they did, but that complex part where Loki felt different - in modern comics this underlines it, underlines the fact that Loki he didn't want to be evil - let's remember we're talking about a Trickster, a guy who basically makes fun of society in his own way, and who gave a boost to the LGBT+ community,, half of the fandom is and empathizes with them for this reason. We must not look at the worst parts of the character, but what he also pushed people to generally believe in as in childhood was not accepted from the Asgardians and the only one who accepted it was Thor, this is the part where we Loki fans empathize - At this point we also need to consider the complex relationship Loki has with Thor. People didn't accept Loki's Trickster nature, and he then became the worst. Returning in the MCU movies they made this part easier by showing it much more, obviously compared to the worst side, let's remember that it is also a fictional character anyway, the people love them for their complexity and nuance, because they are chaotic, has no rules, a character who wants to be free in every way practically a joker without being one- this makes Loki a Loki in the comics, MCU is different has more perspective what to be different and various roles in which we can choose (taken in AOA, but this is very different, even if in my opinion the show has some gaps).
