Never feel bad or apologize for not doing as much art as your peers.Â
You are very lucky to have a source of income you can count on.
Work can be tiring, if you are too tired to draw, then donât draw.
Youâve worked a long shift, you come home and feel worn out. You want to draw, but you just canât do it. DO NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT THAT. Youâve earned some rest, you can always draw another time.
Never apologize for taking longer to finish things because of your schedule.
If someone tells you â Iâm not gonna support/follow you because you donât post as much as this artistâ, ignore them. They obviously donât support you in the first place. Â
You are a great artist to balance both art and work. <3

Zelda Challenge Day 30: Your expectations/thoughts on Skyward Sword and/or Ocarina of Time re-make?
Wow, it's been a couple years and I realized I hadn't properly completed my 30-Day Zelda Challenge. Perhaps I just needed some time to articulate my thoughts on the matter. Or I was just lazy. Probably the latter. Nevertheless, I'm rectifying that now. And what a fitting time to do that, seeing as today is the 30th anniversary of my favorite series.
What did I really think of Skyward Sword? ...Well, I wouldn't put it in my top 5 favorites, and I do have some gripes with it, but I did really enjoy it. Speaking of gripes, you can skip a few paragraphs of my opinionated butthurtedness (and I do stress "opinionated"). I'll let you know when it's safe to come back.
Back in Day 25 of my challenge, I said don't get me started on Fi...yeah, I'm gonna give in and rant a bit here, so hold onto your loftwings. On top of Fi being the most annoying sidekick in Zelda history, she broke my video game immersion, which I've never been able to forgive her for. What's that, Fi? My healthâs running low? ...What? I've been playing for a long time? You want me to take a break? You're saying I'm not really in Hyrule, but I'm actually in my own apartment with student loans to pay? Well I calculate a 99.9% chance of me strangling you to death with my Wii remote nunchuck cord!!!
I also don't care for SS's iteration of Link. Something about his design was a bit too far on the wrong side of derpy for me. Plus he came complete with a stamina meter, which really doesn't help his cause. I wasn't the biggest fan of Ghirahim either. Compared to other Zelda villains, he didn't come off as a real menacing threat until the very end when he reveals his true purpose (for spoiler purposes, I wonât say, but itâs pretty badass). Otherwise, it just seemed like he wanted to lick my earhole all the time. However, as much as I didn't care for them in the game, I absolutely ADORE their meme presence on the internet.
To name a few more gripes, I didn't think fighting The Imprisoned again and again was necessary, the Loftwing system could have been executed a little better somehow, and I wish you could have kept your save data after beating the game to get to Hero Mode instead of deleting your previous data with all the 40+ hours of hard work that you put into the game. I don't recall any video game that has ever done that for a New Game Plus mode, and it's entirely inconvenient.
Okay guys, it's safe to come out!
Alright, that's enough complaining on the internet for one day. It's not like I hated the game after all. There were things I really loved about it. For one, the soundtrack was amazing! Sure it didn't have as many memorable tunes like in other games, but it finally had a live orchestral soundtrack for once that sounded amazing. The boss battles may have been more of the same ol' stab-it-in-the-eye battles, but with the Wii Motion Plus controls, I felt extremely satisfied once I beat them. I loved the long-lasting dungeons. I loved Scrapper...the mogma...Groose was brilliant... The characters in the game were all teriffic (except for THAT character), but the one that impressed me was the titular character herself, Princess Zelda. She's the most pivotal Zelda we've had since Ocarina of Time. We finally get an explaination of why she's been so important throughout the timeline, and we finally get an actual romantic relationship between her and Link this time around! No more "Thank you for saving me. Here's five rupees. Don't go spending it all in one place. Letâs be friends."
So yeah, I may have spent more time blabbering about the bad than the good, but the game never truly disappointed me, nor did it ever tarnish my views on the series as a whole. I'm extremely excited for the new Wii U Zelda, and will likely still be excited for every future installment. And as I've stated before, I'll always give every game a chance before I start ranting like I just now did.
The series has been with me practically throughout my entire life. Ever since I was 8 or 9, the answer to "What do I want to be when I grow up?" has been "To make art for video games." It's still my goal and passion, and has never changed. So thank you, Nintendo for 30 glorious years of The Legend of Zelda. May it reign for another 30! Cheers!
Wait, so what about the OoT remake? ...Well, whatâs there to say? Itâs the same exact game I loved when I was 9, it just looks a little better. I do vastly appreciate the new item switching, especially for the Water Temple. I really never minded the water temple except for the boot-switching in the pre-3DS versions, so that was really nice. Majoraâs Mask 3D, however, was the bigger overhaul. Still the same game, yes, but it looks so much better, and I donât think I can ever go back to the 64 version! I mean they put TREES in the backgrounds instead of just a flat tree wall texture in the forests! I was amazed by that when I first played it! Yeah, I freaking LOVE MM3D. Although I wish there was an option to change the goron controls from Switch mode to Hold mode, but thatâs about it.
