*stabby has just appeared out of thin air in the corner of the room. he seems very confused until he looks around and spots pepper. he quickly rushes to pepper’s side and starts to freak out, stammering “OH GOD PEPPER WHAT HAPPENED OH NO YOUR BLEEDING ARE YOU DIEING OH NO DONT DIE PLEASE hh PLEA DONThh” *he is hyperventilating*

"R-real family," she attempts to soothe. Something in her greys, but she says it again. "Real family. That's what we are."

[he hugs her tightly, starting to purr weakly.]

"I'm...I'm sorry," she says slowly, drained of life. "I shouldn't have snapped at you. Just, please. Try to trust us. We can fight too. You don't have to face this alone. That's what families, true families, do. We stand together."

[pepper tears up again, and hugs her close, trying to soothe her.]

[he looks away, and scrubs at the tears.]

"What the hell are you talking about?!" she pulls away, looking him in the eyes. Her face is red with tears, but she looks at him hard nonetheless. "I told you before, none of this is your fault. I don't have a thing to forgive you for. I just..." she sighs, then buries her head back into his shoulder. "I just wish you'd trust us."

[these words are what really break the dam. he sobs so hard that he starts having to gasp for air between cries, hugging her tightly.]

[he breaks off, burying his face in her shoulder.]
