You'd been looking at both of your cars the night before, trying to figure out which one would be easier to ride into the Underground while wearing such a structured, layered gown. A thought occurred to him as you puttered around making breakfast.

i went out in the rain, suddenly everything changed - Chapter 18 - Something Good

When Coffee was small, still in stripes with his thumb in his mouth, he would get the overwhelming urge to run away. He can't recall why, really. Despite knowing the rules that his mother had given him, one day, he ran. His brother ended up finding him an hour later, sobbing silently as he wandered, lost, in the snowy woods surrounding Snowdin. Wine, barely a teenager at the time, had dragged him back home.

The feeling never dissipated, though. If anything, it worsened. And growing up underground, there isn't really anywhere to run, anyway.

On the day of his mother's remembrance ceremony, when he was 10, the itch got worse. Yet, he didn't run and let it simmer as he stood, empty, next to his brother, staring down at the urn.

Over the next few hundred years, as Coffee grew older, the itch never went away. When the resets started, the itch got unbearable. Yet, with nowhere to run, stuck in that damned cave, he remained.

Then, he and his brother were sucked into a different universe. A kinder universe. One where Wine wasn't Captain, Coffee wasn't a soldier, and the sun was in the sky. And with the sun hung freely in the sky, Coffee suddenly had everywhere to run.

You mentioned how Willa's older siblings don't tell her where they are, because they think that Willa will turn around and tell their mother.

Does that mean that they don't really talk much/have a strained relationship?

Willa's mentioned before how they kinda just left once they were old enough to and left Willa and the littles (younger brothers) alone with mom, does Willa hold any resentment towards them?

Is there bad blood between them? Or... like a really tense atmosphere when they interact?

Basically I'm asking what their relationship is like lol

Ooo! What a wonderful question!

They most certainly have a strained relationship, though, as surprising as it might be, Willa is mostly at fault for this.

She never really forgave them for leaving her alone with their mother and it often leads to arguments between the three of them. However, this is subject to change since Willa is finally in their shoes. We'll see! The three of them don't talk often, especially since Willa will 100% start a fight over the smallest things (though, Tripp and Lydia are definitely her siblings and will do the same, just less frequently). There's a lot of resentment there and it's sure to cause some issues later on!

As for any bad blood, er, sort of? She knows she's being irrational and overly angry but she really can't help it. They haven't been in the room with each other for years at this point so it'd most likely be awkward if they were to meet again.

Phone calls are different though, mostly they end in angry words being exchanged, but on the rare occasion it doesn't, it's mostly nostalgic and wistful. So, in short, it depends on if it's tense, awkward, or somewhat pleasant.
