I am eternally grateful that digital/recorded music exists and I can listen to whatever I want whenever I want, but I am eternally HATEFUL of the practice of using music in ads and commercial spaces.

Like fucking GOD the way pharmaceutical ads take existing songs and rewrite then to be about the fucking medicine, or the way a cynically written song about "being happy" was pumped into every single large chain retailer in 2016!

it should be illegal for companies to use music in the ways they do, as a way of manipulating you into being at ease and buying more shit.
