Itâs not as if I havenât thought of it once or twice before, but there are things that must be done, despite knowing that people will whisper behind your back or discredit you. I have a job too do, and I will work hard nonetheless to get the truth in every case, even if it means leaving it unfinished or leaving a unbelievable report.Â
âBut surely some  of  these cases cannot be the truth. Many  claims  that you  and  your partner have made are not believed by anyone in your department. What is it that convinces you?â
I must admit that some of these cases sound⊠ridiculous, but I would not have filed them if I had not witnessed them myself. Besides, what the department believes is irrelevant, my job is to investigate the truth, and while the truth may seem far fetched, it is the truth. No matter how insane it may sound. As a scientist you should understand the plight of finding the impossible.
